Wake for fallen soldier attracts hundreds
Edited on Sat Mar-17-07 09:12 AM by IanDB1
NEWPORT, N.H. -- A fallen soldier is being remembered in Newport.

Hundreds of people paid their respects yesterday to Army Specialist Justin Rollins, who was killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq on March 5. At his wake at the Newport Opera House, pictures showed Rollins and other men in his unit holding a litter of puppies they had found and rescued in Iraq not long before he and five others were killed.

Flags on state buildings remain at half staff in Rollins' honor. His funeral is 11:00 this morning at South Congregational Church in Newport.

Rollins will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday.
