So, I've been messing around with some home recording on my Mac...

and somehow in the process decided to write an instrumental concept album based on the Cassini-Huygens mission.. it's completely a self-amusement project, but my wife talked me into putting some of it up online, so I'm building a myspace page for it.. i have a couple rough clips up, and I'd love to get some feedback. I'll probably be tinkering around with remixing everything for ages, but so far I;m kinda liking where it's headed.. here's the link if anyone would be so inclined. Thanks!

Was any of that pre-fab, or was every note and beat original? After listening to all 3, I'd love to know the details. What software did you use?

2. Right on..thanks!

I recorded it all on GarageBand (iMac). Basically all the guitars are me playing, and everything else is loops that come with GarageBand. And, hehe.. yeah.. I just got rid of Tom.

I am working on one myself, based on the life and works of Robert Louis Stevenson. Your stuff sounds really great! I would definitely listen to a whole CD of it.

Grammar note: "Experiment 2" is a collaboration between "my wife and me," not "my wife and I." Other than that, the page looks super.

but these tracks are fuckin' great. That's really immaculate work, with a whole bunch of hints of different genres but it ends up sounding really unique and totally assured. The only feeble suggestion I have that some of the keys sound really dry, to my taste anyway. Some reverb here and there would just deepen the bath of sound a little. But never mind that - this is just real good, seriously good.
