What were the best Nintendo 64 games?
The ones that would hold up to being played today?

I just scored a used machine so I could play Robotron. Anything else worth picking up that isn't too dated? I like spaceship shooters, some rpgs, and 2-d (but not 3-d) platformers.

2. Mischief Makers, get it, cherish it
the GREATEST N64 game, also starfox 64 and banjo kazooie, even if it is a 3-d platformer

3. Beetle Adventure Racing. a surprising gem.
riding your lil' beetle through 'xtreme' courses with oodles of multiple paths and a great upbeat atmosphere. a touch of kart racing feel along with general off road racing feel. one of the more entertaining N64 games out there.

5. Dont like 3d platformers? Not even Ocarina of Time?
Letsee...

Some of my favorite n64 games are 3d platformers. OOT, Mario 64, Even Castlevania.

Goldeneye, and to a lesser extent Perfect Dark.

Star Fox was pretty fun, but I don't remember it very well.

6. Never played the last generation or so of 3-D platformers
The few that I played never felt right to me. Old-school fan, I guess.

However, I found a cheap copy of Mario 64 and said to hell with it. I'll give them another try.

7. It'd be better if it were Zelda, but Mario isn't bad. -nt-
