Please Take a sec to visit my Gaming Site (please)
I hate to flat out pimp my site, but I work my butt off on this, and there are few visitors.

Please visit http://www.AbleGamers.com - A Site for Disabled Gamers

If you have any gaming news, or want to contribute, please do.

1. Nice site!

Do you think that the fact that there are only so many disabled folks is what's holding the site traffic down? Or that it's new-ish?

EDIT: Playin' EVE now - can't talk. :)

2. We have all kinds of news, but we do reviews and such for the disabled
You don't have to be disabled to visit and participate, you could also just be cool, and like disabled people.

The fact is if games are made to be friendly for disabled, all gamers win, because the interface will be clean and well designed.

4. A good friend of mine is a disabled gamer
However, he's at the point right now where he has not even been able to sit up in bed for any length of time for a few years now. So, he can't do more than roll dice onto a table built over his bed... browsing online is not even an option for him right now.

6. That's a really cool thing.

I wish I could contribute but I don't play any new games anymore because my PC was built in caveman days, so I don't really follow all the new stuff much.

I'll be more than glad to keep this thread kicked for awhile though to see if anyone can help.

on edit - You should post this in the Lounge or something, too.Might get some more attention up there. An idea like this deserves to be shared with more people than those that visit this forum.

7. This site may be useful to me...
I'm rapidly losing the use of my hands and arms. I have ALS. I have only been playing FPS games but I've been thinking about games like Oblivion and such, now that I can't work anymore. Someday soon I'll be looking at some other kinds of controls maybe.

I'll check it out.

8. Awesome looking site! Needs to be fleshed out though I see.
I notice that you don't have any keyboards up for review yet. I'd like to recommend to anybody who needs a comfortable, ergonomic but not split type of keyboard for maximum comfort, to check out the new Wave keyboard from Logitech. It comes in a corded variety which is standalone, and also a cordless model which includes one of the mid-range cordless mice. The keyboard has an uneven surface which conforms to the natural variance in the elevations of your fingers, and is also curved slightly toward the typist but does not have a split layout like many ergonomic keyboards. There are also extra keys which can be easily programmed to help keep commonly used game commands in one easy row. Sadly it is not backlit, but that is the only flaw that I can see. I got to play with one of these at work recently and I'm in love with it.

Logitech also has released a new G9 gaming laser mouse. It is a corded mouse but the cord is made from a very flexible material so that it doesn't bunch or knot up and impede movement. It's got adjustable DPI settings built into the software and can even hold game profiles in its internal memory so that you can instantly move your configurations from system to system without having to install any software.

Those who are looking for more comfortable peripherals for their gaming might be interested in either or both of these Logitech products. I just wanted to offer this for everyone's consideration so you can check them out and decide if they'd be of use to you. :)

However...
Shanda entertainment can rot.
Although I have never played the game, I most certainly would not now.
I like trying different character types when I game.
I've never played a woman character, but I like to keep my options open.

Once again...
