PS3 Pricing And Release Dates (Better start saving now)
http://news.com.com/2061-11199_3-6070449.html

It looks like I'll have to be content with getting a 360 or just playing on my PC. For $600 for the version with the 60GB HD, this console better be the best thing since sliced bread. I didn't pay that much for the computer I'm posting this on, and it runs most games just fine.

1. For 600$ I'm going to keep my PS2 and save up for a decent PC
Wasn't the NeoGeo rediculously priced as well? We all remember how that did in the long run...

2. If the claims that Sony made @ E3 are realized, you would have
to spend $3000 or more to get a PC with comparable capability and even then you can't (easily) squeeze that kind of performance from a CISC chip. Real-time rendering of every environmental element's actions and reactions, just blows my mind. If they are able to pull it off, it will be a new revolution in digital gaming, not to mention the awesome image capability. Your M$ 360 will look like an old Atari 2600 by comparison.

and cost 50$ a pop.

I don't care how far back in the store EB puts PC games or how realistic the graphics look, for level of depth and originality, PC gamers still hae the market cornered.

And a 1000$ can still buy a decent system that allows much more than gameplay.

3. Isn't much of that cost because of the Blue Ray drive?
What happens if Blu Ray loses and you've got a useless Hi Def DVD drive?
