Rods of Ra
Have any of you seen the Rods of Ra?

An absolute MUST HAVE! :sarcasm:

http://www.rodsofra.com /

This link was posted on a board I've been reading lately, The Hall of Ma'at http://www.hallofmaat.com / - which is a great site (quite a bit of pseudoscience debunking going on there)

3. Ha! $19.95?
I suggest you look at the price...(for entertainment value, if nothing else)

$19.95 for this would be a STEAL.

$400 bucks for a Copper and Zinc pipe? I'll give you that zinc isn't a hugely common metal but... wow.

But, don't forget, BIG PHARMA IS JUST TRYING TO RIP YOU OFF!!!11!1!

4. And to think there are people that will pay $400 for this thing...
Yikes.

Love the disclaimers too:

"Because of the energetic nature on the Rods of Ra,
there are NO RETURNS on this product.

DISCLAIMER: All information on this web site is provided for historical, educational, research, and informational purposes only and is not intended to be construed as health or medical advice nor are we intending to practice medicine or lead anyone away from a doctor. We make absolutely no claims of any treatment or cure for any disease. No suitability, claims, or merchantability for any purpose is stated or implied. The Rods of Ra are reproductions of ancient and historical artifacts and are sold for educational and entertainment purposes only."

Basically, "we're not claiming the rods do anything, and you can't return it, suckers"

Sid

...provided the ancient Egyptian ruling class a means of connecting directly with the energy systems of the human body...

Yep, those ancient Egyptians sure knew a lot about the human body. While they carefully preserved your guts for use in the afterlife, they just threw away one part of your dead body because it was obviously a mass of useless tissue.

The brain.

:eyes:

From your correspondent in modern Egypt...where pseudoscientific claptrap appears in the newspapers almost daily, especially if it supports the majority superstition...er, religion over here.

Did you know animals don't mind being sacrificed during religious rituals? It's scientfically proven!!!

This PROVES Western medicine is incompetant! How can they be right, when they don't even notice that the brain is a mass of useless tissue!??!?!?!

Ironically, I'm using "brain is a mass of useless tissue" and "altie woo woos" in the same post...
