So, I have the flu, and one of my co-workers offered me a drug.

She claimed it was "all-natural" and "homeopathic" which meant it was completely safe. It started with an "o", but I don't remember the name.

I politely declined, explaining that I was a guy and didn't take drugs.

2. My dad got his first flu shot since his Air Force days.

I guess back in the 50s, the vaccines used low levels of live virus, since the killed virus type of vaccine hadn't been developed yet. So every time he got the shot, he got the flu, which pretty much steered him away from flu shots for the rest of his life.

He didn't get the flu this time, of course.

I noticed it in the drug store once. It had nothing in it that would break up my sinuses, so I gave it a pass. That was before I knew the extent to which homeopathy is horseshit. I knew then it was unproved, but did not know the wacko philosophy behind it.
