question on drainage/concrete chunks
I took out a very crumbly concrete curb and need some drainage rock for the bottom of a 3 foot deep bathtub

can I use the concrete chunks?

thanks in advance!

1. I don't see why not. Waste not, want not! I'd use the concrete
if it's in small enough pieces and have been known to put rocks on the bottom of my pots, though I prefer busted terra cotta (don't know why; it sucks up the moisture?). Just make sure you don't have to move it again before you put the concrete in. And we want pics after you pretty up that tub! :hi:

2. that's what I was thinking. after all some planters are all concrete right
??

it's right next to the steps off the deck and it's gonna be my herb garden with some marigolds and such

it should be really nice and it's HUGE!

here's a pic of the tub while it was still in the bathroom

3. That's big! How hard will it be to poke a couple of holes
in the bottom of it, and will you be doing anything w/the outside?
What did you do, replace it with a shower?

4. it has a 2 " drain already and I'll probably get some hanging over the
edge kinda plants and maybe some annuals next spring for around it too. I have some short latice pieces that will camo it for this winter

we totally redid the room, here's a post on it over in DIY
