I'm not sure what to say about this
So I will post without comment. Make of it what you will.

Is the King of Pop the reincarnation of King Tut? Not exactly. But according to reports, there is an ancient Egyptian statue at Chicago's Field Museum that bears an uncanny resemblance to Michael Jackson, right down to the botched nose job. (more)

1. Who knows?
Maybe Michael was his reincarnation and this is the face he longed to see in the mirror throughout his life? Hard to say. Interesting to think about.

2. That's what I was thinking
That could explain why he felt adrift in this life--he was so closely tied to another.

3. I'm having a hard time believing this statue is 3000 years old
But it would be interesting to have it authenticated.

4. If it's at the Field Museum in Chicago,
wouldn't it already have to have been authenticated to become a part of their collection? Jut wondering...

And BTW, this is bizarre. The resemblance is almost spooky.

5. I suppose you're right, but it just seems unreal to me ;=D
I guess one of the reasons was the lighting in the article, the lower portion seems gray while the head is a different color, but after viewing the video it appears the color is consistent.

Here's a video with the statue behind the speaker, who is commenting about the broken noses on statues.

It is rather bizarre!

8. I figured the gray part was "filler" to stabilize the broken statue
and the top, beige part the actual portion of the surviving statue.

That NBC Chicago article made a good point--that MJ's "Remember the Time" video was set in ancient Egypt.

6. eh, looks more like Janet J to me
Funny, though.

Remember when Obama saw the hieroglyph in Egypt of the guy with the big ears?

9. I remember that
It was so funny. His remark was so off the cuff and it was very endearing. "Hey lookit' those ears. Guy looks like me!"

There was a youtube clip on that remark, in case anyone wants to look at it again.

MG, this is quite the find! It's very, very weird and the resemblance is uncanny. I thought of him right away, when I saw the statue, before I even read the story.

10. It's weird we hadn't heard about this before.
The statue's been around, and Michael Jackson's looked like this for several years now. Weird. it almost looks like a photoshop.

11. MJ Surgically Altered
MJ was subjected so often to the plastic surgeon's knife. He didn't evolve naturally into looking like an Egyptian princess.

The funny one was Obama spotting the fact he looked like this ancient Egyptian.
