1. With great sadness, PC has seen for some time that the violence will continue.....
Americans are learning some very hard lessons about guns, hatred, violence.

Pray that we learn what we need to learn quickly.

21. It seems an extension/expression of the (waking up from) delusions
of three decades of unsustainable conspicuous consumption excess and oblivious greed-is-good disconnect from reality.

Of all the consequences I (correctly) predicted, the disconnect from each other, as individuals and as groups, seemed the most dangerous (not to forget the damage to the rule of law).

Katrina NOLA genocide is proof of that as are the recent maniac attacks. And road rage. And people being trampled for $1 flip flops.

Obama rode on a wave of reminding people what they hadn't heard for so long they forgot Americans used to feel "we're all in this together."

Many are out of practice.

2. I'm on it, Chief.
May all who are (in any sense) at risk for victimization be protected.

6. Prayers and more
Waking up is hard to do when you have slept as hard as our society has. :donut:

I hope we can get through this rough period quickly. The fact that the guy's links to some insane elements in this country are actually being discussed on the cable channels honestly may be a sign that some light is getting in. Somehow it feels like that to me tonight. That an awakening is starting, if slowly.

It is so sad that we have these lost people on the "right" cowering from fears that the powerful have conjured for them. I pray they will come out of the shadows and take a good look at who they are following and what they are listening to. That's a dark place to be. Totally without love.

7. I got the same impression today, GTRO
Hearing that the cable news talking heads are connecting the dots from this guy to the abortion doctor murderer to Free Republic gave me a glimmer of hope--that a spotlight is finally going to be shone on the right-wing loons before they do any more damage, and the more "normal" people who think the extreme right is harmless (or, gods forbid, "has a point"/"tells it like it is") might think twice about tuning in to Rush or Hannity etc. to have their craniums filled with misinformation, propaganda, and hate.

Sending light for clarity...

8. I'm with you both on this also
(yes,I'm venturing out of my self-imposed exile a bit, hi)
It does worry me,and I am sad for all the hurt and violence; but I can so see that we need this collectively if most people are really going to 'get it' inasmuch that 'we' need a serious jolt and all of this brought very brightly into our awareness.
I too hope that we can learn this lesson quickly - I am already tired of all the violence.

Oh! And WHAT is up with all the child abuse/horrible murder cases lately? Every time I venture across GD or peripherals I catch wind of something nauseating. I guess that's part of it too - makes me want to be literally sick. *shakes aura*

11. +1 to GTRO and this.....Glad to know that the cable shows are actually talking about this....
gives me some hope too, that the light is seeping in, in places....
I'm especially glad, because my feeling is that many of the sleepers will only absorb what they hear on teevee. The conservative media monopoly is something I REALLLLY want to see change.

I'll add my prayers of light into dark places too.

9. Did you see the thread
in the Political Videos forum where a "paster Drake" was on a radio interview ADMITTING that he is "praying for the death of Obama" (unless he "turns to God", which I assume means become a HATER anti-abortionist)? The FBI needs to jump all over those people. I'm sure some listener would be only too happy to 'answer' the prayer. For "God" of course :eyes:

10. Saw the title
And didn't want to delve in. Just because I know how angry I get with people like this. "Turning to God" to these people means becoming one of their followers; the religious right in this country is a mad cult. If only their followers could wake up.

If someone is praying for the death of another then it has to be a "lower power" they are accessing, not a higher power, in my mind anyway. That is terrifying on many levels, these people have become something very dark. :scared:

But I feel like the prayers of those that support the President are more numerous than this kind of scary nut.

12. You know, I never thought of it that way...
Edited on Thu Jun-11-09 10:30 AM by FirstLight
The whole idea that when those people are praying for such crazy shit to happen they are really accessing a darker power.

I think I am a pollyanna of sorts and would like to just "let each to his own" rather than try to polarize or partake in an attachment to outcome or judgement of another's path.
BUT that said, the idea that we are looking at an "accessing of energy" and bringing it down to the manifesttion level... really rocks me this morning.

I was thinking last night while watching KO about creation and the way cell polarizes before splitting... Meiosis?
so THAT's what's going on here!

so we are all praying, what do we pray FOR?
scary shit, I can't wrap my mind around it quite yet...

13. Pray, Send Light, Send Reiki, etc. to Transmute the bad vibes created by hate & fear
Pray, send light, etc asking all beings of Divine Light to help with this plus transmuting the negative thoughtforms these people are accessing into love and healing for any and all on earth willing to accept it. It is all just energy and the more they spew the more psychic compost those working to transmute it will have for more love and healing vibes.

IMO other's rights to their own paths stop when they start harming others or as someone once said your right to swing your fist ends at my nose. They have power and allies - but then remember we do to. We need to remember to ask for it tho as beings of good ethics won't act without that permission. & remember to take care of yourself in this. Getting as healthy as you can thereby raising your vibes makes the whole world that much better so do it for the world even if you think yourself unworthy of the attention. but also it isn't the job of one or even one group of people to 'save' the world so when i get overwhelmed at the thought of all the horrors going on I come back to what I can do with myself and assisting those around me.

14. It is black magic in my book
praying for harm is bad and leaves the person wide open for retribution as well as harmful influences. they are reaching out for a vengeful spirit and just might find one hopefully for everyone's sake one of the bottom feeders that talk big but are little more than leeches. All the same every day I pray for all beings to be exorcised of harmful entities and thoughtforms with the entities taken to a place they can do no futher harm and be offered a chance to change, the thoughtforms transmuted into pure energy, usually healing to undo all harm caused by the thoughtform at least as much as the person(s) will consent to healing.

15. Spiritual beliefs
I wonder sometimes if these really far right-wing ministers/leaders actually have spiritual beliefs at all, with some of the stuff they come up with, like praying for someone's demise. That just feels like opening a door to very bad stuff, I would have recoiled from that idea back when I called myself agnostic. It just feels like doom.

I think most of what they do is for purely human mind control, with no thought of the spiritual. But the results for their followers are quite unfortunate, they loose themselves. Gives me shudders. And it gave me shudders when some of them were "praying" for John McCain's demise during the election hoping "Sarah" would then be the candidate.

I prefer to pray for the best possible things and that it be for the highest good.

16. If a person isn't willing to do the act don't ask your deity to do it for you!
That is my rule of thumb when it comes to the urge to smite somebody. Pray, vibe, do magick for justice no problem. Pray, vibe, to magick to cause harm or death - no way! Pray, vibe or do magick to send another's bad acts back at them - *maybe* as long as intention is they get exactly what they put out, nothing more. I'm rubber, your glue, what you send to be sticks on you. nah nah nah! :P Or Pray, vibe or do magick to convert their bad vibes into good vibes to undo as much of their harm as possible so they don't suck so many people into their mindmelting all fear, all the time psi vampirism.

I don't know what these guys are thinking acting like this. I am leery just now of trying to figure out if they are just twisted pieces of work or which ones *KNOW* what they are doing {{{shudder}}} It is bad enough when I accidently get a glimpse of cheney or mccain when their mask sliped. :puke:

17. They probably know..
but not enough. They don't get the NT part where Jesus said, ..."as you do to the least of these"...
That is, that we are all One. Nor do they understand "judgment" (karma).

(...)"You be careful with imprecatory prayer. Because if your life is not right. It can have a boomerang effect. You see, as you judge, so shall you be judged. Think about that. Does that make sense? I say that because, the other day somebody pointed out to me that a woman has been praying for me to die in an airplane crash. She is a Christian woman. She wants me dead. Well, now, I was thinking about that, you know, If I was her son I would not want to get into an airplane. You see what I am saying? You got to be careful how you use that power. With imprecatory prayer, if we don't mature as Christians, it is like putting a loaded 45, `hammer-back, cocked and the safety off, into the hands of a five-year old. Does that make sense?" Quoted from: Pete Peters, Rules for Radicals. 3 tape set.

Praying for someone to die in an airplane crash does fit the establishment definition of imprecatory prayer. (A curse, denunciation that conveys a wish or threat of evil. To pray for evil or misfortune.) But does that woman's prayer conform to the second definition, "a last resort appeal to God for justice". No! And that prayer would be un-Christian. (...)

Imprecation: A curse, denunciation that conveys a wish or threat of evil).

Imprecatory prayer: To pray for evil or misfortune (malediction, anathema, execration) (...)

http://www.moseshand.com/buildup/prayer.htm

On the example page, they use some twisted logic to try to defeat Jesus' statement that he doesn't work that way. All the 'true' examples are from the OT.
