mercury retrograde and retake oath - coincidence - just interesting
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090122/ap_on_go_pr_wh/obam...

Because of Roberts error and Barack following him even though he knew it was incorrect - they redid it today in the Map Room with Roberts in Robes to make sure it was done with the right words in the right order - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28780417

1. hey, you beat me to it!
I was just going to post something about mercury retrograde and Obama's retake of the flubbed oath.

So our worries about mercury retrograde interfering with the inauguration came true...but in a pretty harmless way, all things considered!

2. another article
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/0...

Jonathan Turley, a constitutional law professor at George Washington University, was hosting an inauguration party at his home in McLean, Va., Tuesday and did a mock swearing-in of 35 children. When Roberts erred, one child shouted: "That's not right!"

"He should probably go ahead and take the oath again," Turley said. "If he doesn't, there are going to be people who for the next four years are going to argue that he didn't meet the constitutional standard. I don't think it's necessary, and it's not a constitutional crisis. This is the chief justice's version of a wardrobe malfunction."

5. Supposedly he would have "automatically" become
...president at 12:00 Noon whether he had sworn the oath or not (according to Thom Hartman who said that this morning). I am not sure if this is true but ...

And you know what else is ridiculous. They said as well that Obama "might" not be a real American because he wasn't born in the U.S. Well those idiots should know that ... IT DOESN'T MATTER WHERE YOU ARE BORN, IF YOUR PARENT IS AN AMERICAN, YOU ARE AN AMERICAN. War brides and people who are natives of where an American soldier married in the place they are posted, is often a good case. This way Americans overseas can still claim their children as citizens. GAWD these people are DUMB!

Whatta buncha nimrods this administration is going to have to deal with! LOL

7. His term began at 12 Noon on January 20th,
according to the 20th Amendment.
However, the last paragraph of Article II, section 1 reads:
Before he enter on the execution of his office, he shall take the following oath or affirmation:--"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Accordingly, he would have the title of President as of 12 Noon but would not have the authority to execute his office until he took the oath.
That's my humble opinion.

8. I think the business about not having authority to 'execute'
is specious; what does a president do but his job? If he swears or affirms, thats it; and if its Jan. 20 afternoon, thats it.

4. Okay, so do we not have to worry about that bad moon thing
Around noon on inauguration day?

Sorry, not familiar with astrology, really, but I remember hearing that noon Inauguration Day was not a good time to take the oath, because of something about the moon.

6. not sure - the noon thing is when he became president
the oaths are crossing the 't's' and i's - so he took the oath on Jan 20,2009 at 12:06 and again on Jan 21, 2009 at 7:35pm - so there are some mixed signals or not - if you go by the fact that no matter what he is president at noon no matter when he takes the oath - then it is noon and I have not idea where the oath times fit - kind of like a baby that is induced versus natural birth - what about that time - means there are other factors I guess - so maybe this covers all those factors

10. Moon thing: void of course
Not supposed to start a new venture when moon is void. Not bad so much as ineffective. What is started usually doesn't go much of anywhere. Supposedly.

9. Ah, I was just going to post this.
besides mercury retrograde, astrologers were hoping Obama could postpone taking the oath until after 12:31 when the moon was no longer void of course.

The second time was at 7:35 p.m. Wednesday night, the 21st.

Astrologers, what do you think? Will this change the inauguration chart? For the better?
