Back in the days when I was a member of a regular circle, one thing we did this time of year was to offer up an apology to any and all that we may have offended in the prior year.

While I realize that not everyone here shares my tradition, I do want to offer up my sincere apology if I have offended you in this prior year. It has been painful year for many of us, and I am very sorry if I have not provided you enough support or have left you feeling that I do not care. Please forgive me if I have been unkind or if I have made you feel diminished in any way.

It is my dearest with that we may all experience joy, peace, and love for each other in the time to come.

5. I've found it helps me ID a lot of things I do and never realize at the time.

Probably not everybody's idea of a "fun" time but one that I wanted to share with you all.

4. I don't think this is about "guilt" so much as forgiveness.

Guilt is what we torture ourselves with. Forgiving is how we free our spirit. Sometimes it is about forgiving ourselves, sometimes it is about taking time to care for our own being along with everyone else.
