Minerals--(low adrenal function, etc.)-recommendation
From my daughter comes a major recommendation for this mineral "kit."

http://www.chembalance.com/

We have dealt with this company for years for their electrolytes. When they got a different supplier for the electrolytes we bought the old brand from another company. However, my daughter, who tends to get low adrenal function (due to horrible reaction to Cipro years back--long story), started freaking out because a *holistic* dentist that she went to said the enamel on her teeth looked like an elderly person. She said "I need minerals and I have to take this into my own hands because my ND is not proactive enough." She also had some minor health complaints besides the occasional fatigue. Her jaw sort of hurt some with a weird kind of pain.

Well, I remembered that I found this company to begin with because of a testimonial about their minerals from someone with fibromyalgia, so I ordered them for my daughter. She isn't one to get a big placebo reaction. She reports tons more energy immediately after taking these minerals. All of her jaw pain has gone away.

Hopefully her teeth can grow back enamel.

This is for anyone reading this that feels they have any sort of mineral imbalance. The drops are put in water. She was very surprised to get this immediate effect. My guess is that she needed one of the trace ones, like molybdenum.

2. Nope.
She just ordered them, read the directions, and started taking them. She was in really pretty rough shape several years ago after the Cipro reaction. Energy treatments have been extremely helpful to her, but she did have a few residual effects.

very similar to Cipro, from what the doctor said. I've been having symptoms of fibromyalgia since I took the drug in January.

Accupuncture has been helping to get some of the soreness out, and to help get my energy (chi) flowing again. The drug companies are doing their own testing and the FDA is accepting their results, so there's no telling how many people are getting really sick from these new drugs.

I'm very interested in this web site you linked....I'm going to check 'em out.

Thanks! :hi:

3. Thanks. (I mostly kicked this to raise awareness about Cipro risks.)
I'd seen you post that bit about your daughter's bad reaction to it before and it scared the crap out of me.

4. Thanks for the tip!
bookmarking for later, I have psoriatic arthritis and the bad drugs (once I allowed them to give them to me out of desperation) have sent my hormones into a tizzy...and I KNOW my adrenals are overloaded from all the stress I deal with on a daily basis

I try to help myself with diet, but my energy for actually handling the kitchen is gone. I just wanna crawl under the bed for 100 years (lol, could be the eclipse energy, too) so I really need a boost. Af riend of mine also suggested a colon cleanse.
we'll see what happens!

5. somewhat of an update
She went to her ND but did not take in the minerals. But she told him the story. He muscle tested her and said it was most likely the iodine, and then he gave her even more iodine to take, over and above what was in the kit.

I hadn't ever muscle tested her for iodine, since I didn't have any around. However, once I did that test on her where you put liquid iodine on the skin, to see how fast it is absorbed. If it absorbs fast, where you can't see the skin stained in something like 12 hours, then supposedly you need iodine. However, she passed that test. Now I am wondering if that is such a good test!

There is a bottle for iodine in the kit.

7. molybdenum
That is what I came up with using distance muscle testing (as the mineral she was needing most). I finally got around to testing this. I don't think it was iodine because it is just the RDA of iodine and that is in vitamins she takes, and that hasn't made a big difference.

Then I looked up molybdenum and found out that it is found in great quantities in tooth enamel, and that is where she was having problems. Then I read that deficiency is very rare, not documented, and just about everybody eats enough of it

But I kept looking around and finally found this--

http://www.mall-net.com/cooter/moly.html

He had gotten such good results with the supplement that he did an informal "study", giving it to people. One elderly person was so uncomfortable with having improved energy that she lowered her dose of it. Anyway, his informal, not placebo controlled experiment worked out pretty well, with people reporting improvements.

Next time my daughter goes to the ND she'll take the minerals in for him to muscle test, and we'll see what he says.
