Wow, Where'd that Come From? (HRC resignation thread)
I started crying when Hillary resigned. I'm watching her speech now.

Now where did those tears come from? Boy, she annoyed the living daylights out of me for carrying this battle on for so long. At times I even thought she'd been paid off by the republicans to split up the Democratic party.

I was an Edwards supporter who migrated to the Obama camp. I've never backed her, so I don't even know why I am crying.

Maybe because she put her all into it and I can identify with that. It's hard to put your all into something and then lose.

It sure has happened to me.

I can't recall the quote exactly, but it goes something like "if you haven't lost, you haven't taken enough chances."

Losing is tough. It's damned tough. I feel for HRC, Bill, Chelsea, and all their supporters. I admire her for being able to get up there and speak like she was able to today.

1. I agree, Cher. She worked so hard; nobody can ever say...
that she didn't put her entire heart and soul into this race.

I'd hate to have her against me, that's for sure.

To the Clintons, I say: :patriot:

2. Yes
I cried too. She did a wonderful job of passing the torch. A new "era" has officially begun.

3. Relief that the fears of a fatally fractured Democratic Party
will not happen now, and that our chances of taking back the White House have greatly improved? That's my guess. I voted for Hillary waaay back in January, but I'm a Dead Dog Democrat, so I am thrilled to have a candidate who so ably represents the principles for which this party has historically stood. The way I saw it, the Democrats were determined to make history this election cycle, either by permanently shattering the glass ceiling, or knocking down the racial barriers that have surrounded this nation since day one. The Democratic Party has decided to knock those damned racial barriers into the sea, and I couldn't be happier for my party or my nation. Let's take this country into the 21st century, even if we have to drag it kicking and screaming every step of the way!!

I thought her speech was wonderful, I'm glad she refused to quit, but I didn't shed a tear - I just yelled "Hell yes", and hooted and howled until all my kitties joined in!
Now, on to November - and kicking McThuseluh's ass!

Oh, IHAD, it is so true. She is a formidible woman. I hope that when she's rested up and has recovered from her loss, we'll find her re-channeling her efforts. I feel that she and Bill miscalculated terribly. Americans are so through with attack politics.

OhioBlues, it's nice to know I wasn't the only one. Yes, passing the torch. :)

Most people who frequent our forum will gravitate to this anyway, but I thought I'd post it here, just in case:

This is the "Obama lightworker" thread.

Cher

p.s. another possibility is that I was picking up on the feelings of HRC's supporters. I remember when I used to facilitate smoking cessation workshops, I'd pick right up on the cravings of the quitters in my groups.

7. I, too, was very impressed
with Hillary's speech today. She was very clear that she is now supporting Obama.

I am wondering if her speech on Tuesday night was a way to let her supporters down gently. It would not surpise me if she really cared about those supporters, and felt she needed to give them some time to acknowledge that she did not win.

In any event, she showed herself to be a true patriot today.

9. Ummmmmmm
Obama accepted the nomination on Mercury Retrograde with the Moon aspecting nothing preparing to go V/C

Hillary conceded (was pushed out) on Mercury Retrograde with the next aspect being Mercury conjunct Venus

the fat lady has not sung yet - this isn't over.

Mercury goes direct on June 19 but I'd watch aspects to the retro point 21 Gemini and direct 13 Gemini point to see what comes next.
to see what might be coming
