27. just wanted to let ya'll know I am around

I think it must have be a flu because I have been barley able to get out of bed since I last posted. Chils, fever, congestion w/cough. It takes something extraordinay to kill my appetie but this flu has. Luckily for my Mom she isn't totally wiped out like me but she still is awful drained. we've been using oilive leaf extract though when my Mom felt like it was going to her lung she did go to the doctor who put her on an antibotic today which makes her nasuseious as heck. Here's hoping it isn't that she is allergic to it like so many other antiboitics.

Thank you all for the good vibe.s I need to go be flat some more. Don't worry I am drinking lots and lots of fluids and while the xhaution contiues the cough and congestion is letting up.

My friend/hair stylist's father has had cancer for a few years and isn't doing well right now. Plus my friend has been helping take care of his dad even though dad is a several hours' drive away (in Pennsylvania), so my friend is under a LOT of stress (not surprisingly). 26. UPDATE on my interview today

Met with three managers and the director of the group. This was the best interview I have had since I have been looking for a job (began last August). They were very respectful, and did not grill me on my qualifications. The interviewing process has been so painful for me (a lot of very long, grilling interviews) that this one was really like a breath of fresh air.

I was told by the hiring manager that she will be off tomorrow and Monday, but, that she would begin "calling" on Tuesday.

I have a very good feeling about this. In my life, whenever something I have tried to achieve or acquire seemed to be "effortless" in the sense that there seemed to be no obstacles, I always "achieved" or "acquired" the end result.

In this case, the process has been very quick (I only sent in my resume on-line last Thursday), and, already I have had two sets of interviews.

I sent out prayers of gratitude when I left the interview today. This group was and is included!!!

80. Could someone send supportive "severance" vibes my way?

I'm trying to make a gentle but permanent break from an acquaintance with whom things got...weird. I thought we had some karma to work out or something so I decided to try to stick around and work things out, but no dice. That person is not willing to budge, which, well, I think that was the real point of my having felt compelled to interact with this individual: Learning (again) that pathological liars don't change, neither do people so damaged that they lie habitually to feel in control during even a moment's discomfort, and those engaging in this sort of dysfunctional behavior don't want friends, help, real information or support. They only want to feel in control, as if they have "won."

So, lesson learned. Now I need to keep this individual away from me. She's not dangerous, just goddamn annoying (and the degree of denial there makes for a sad picture). Sigh. I'm also in need of "just let it go" vibes, and self-forgiveness vibes, because I'm having a hard time with the fact that I let myself get sucked into the world of an unreachable sociopath again and that now I feel guilty about not "doing enough" for her. Blech.

I've been doing the epsom salt/baking soda cleanse thing and I'm going to try that whole "break a stick to symbolically break away from the psycho" thing to see if that heartens me. Any additional A, S & AH vibes would be welcome.

There's an energy technique that I've used with Reiki - where you see the cords that are connecting the two of you and you literally unhook them from your body, whether it be physical, mental, emotional, or etherical (or all of the above).

Since you're doing the cleansing baths, how about doing this while in the tub? Just go into a meditation, visualize the hooks, and unhook them. As you're rinsing off the bath, see the hooks going down the drain.

I would also recommend a smudging - incense or sweetgrass. And I'm feeling that in the head area, more than the heart.

Beyond that, here are some energies that you can use.

90. My brother who wants to be the angry Anakin Skywalker

he's an undiscovered artist that is very angry at the world and our parents. He's a scifi, fantasy, and anime fanatic. His life hasn't gone the way he wants. He's a graphic artist, and he's been laid off rather regularly (from what I understand, that's the nature of the business) and he has to do a lot of freelance/contract work, in addition to various acting roles. No steady/full-time job--yet. He has decided to turn to the Dark Side and become a Sith--I kid you not! He wants to live by the lines from Star Wars Episodes 1-3, for instance, "Let not your anger blind you, rather, let it consume you, and in the purity of your hatred will you find the deaths of your enemies."

To keep a VERY long story short, during his 1st season at the Renaissance Festival (RenFest) some years past, he was cast as a "bad guy" character. As a "bad guy" he played the role to the max. He admitted in an unguarded moment that he wants to live that role, and that's why he wants to turn to the Dark Side.

As most readers here know, the Dark Side isn't just a subject in the Star Wars movie series. My fear is that his wish is granted, and then what? My request: please help me hold a good thoughts (not a typo) for him. Maybe he'll get his act together--I hope so.

he's ready to dis-own the parents, who have become a lot less mobile due to the ravages of time. I worry that my dad will not be nice because he was disgusted with his own brother, who was another undiscovered artist. His brother/my uncle graduated Juilliard, but was never successful, and mooched off of his parents and siblings. Dad has never been a fatherly individual and I'm sure that he will say something wrong and piss off my brother to the point they'll never hear from him again. My brother does hold a grudge.
