FREE Online Tarot / I-Ching Readings (using R.L. Wing's interpretations!)
Edited on Mon Mar-07-05 03:49 PM by Dover
This is a great and FREE way to do a Tarot or I-Ching reading and get a good quality interpretation. Getting to the free readings, though, is a bit convoluted so follow my instructions carefully. If there is a faster way I haven't discovered it.
But once you get there, you can bookmark it and go there directly next time and only need to type in the user/password (provided below).

Go to this page and click on "register":
http://hrih.net/divinations/
It only takes a moment and you'll get an email verification. Click on the URL in the email.
Now back at the orginal page go to the very top of the page for the horizontal menu. Click on "divinations".
Click on "Online I-Ching Reading" (then click on Chinese character graphic) or "Online Crown's Tarot Reading".
When a box comes up that requires a user/password, use the following (depending on what kind of reading you're doing):

user: tarot *** password: star
user: iching *** password: heaven

Note: It is NOT asking for YOUR user name...so just type the words "tarot" or "iching" in the 'User' space.

THEN SAVE/BOOKMARK THAT PAGE!

The I-Ching reading requires that you click on the coin icon SIX times (for each line in the hexagram). Be sure to formulate your questions carefully and don't ask 'yes' or 'no' questions.

Your registration also allows you to participate in the forum section.

Enjoy!

1. Well, that was fun!!
I tried the Tarot and I was concentrating on what to do and not myself! I choose the "Cross Layout". The three cards across in the middle were: "The Lovers", "8 of Cups" and "The Devil". Above the middle card was the "8 of Wands" and below the middle card was "The Emperor". Anyone care to interpret?

2. Did you click on each card and read it's meaning?
If so, what do you think the reading is about?

3. Yes, I did and
it sort of follows a reading a had last September. But I was sort of looking for a more expert/experienced view.

:-)

I need to get my act together, tie up some loose ends (with my brother/sisters) and get on with what I'm suppose to do in my life -- besides having children.

This might sound weird, but does it say anywhere in there that I might be moving?

6. That site is great

I got the most amazing cross spread and I love the card interpretations as well as the suggestions and meditations. I shared this with the other members of my tarot class and I can't wait to get their feedback.

Does anybody know which deck that site uses? I would love to have them, the court cards are difficult for me in traditional decks but this deck is amazing. I got four court cards out of five in the time traveler spread and they were spot on.

Thanks.

7. You're welcome. I really liked the meditational questions too.

Very helpful guides.

For the true beginner, this info still requires that they learn to integrate all the parts into the whole...which means development of the intuitive function. But these explanations go a long way toward assisting one in fully understanding the individual pieces in more depth which makes forming the bigger picture much easier, I think.

9. Cool! Thanks, Dover our resident encyclopedia
of the awesome, unusual and peculiar. Here's another web site for I Ching and Tarot.

http://www.visionarynet.com

I use the I Ching when I need to ask a question. After you get your result, you have to pay to get an interpretation, but if you have a book which interprets the result, you don't need to do it.

Here's another one for Tarot:

http://www.indianastrology.com

Scroll down a little, and look for 'Queries online?' to the left. Click on this for Tarot reading. Not as good as yours, though Dover. :smoke:

'cause I haven't seen this up in a while, and I love the interpretations on this site. Visited again today, and it was so on the money and so helpful. I think about you gratefully, Dover, whenever I visit this site.

16. I'm having issues with all three readings I did.
Namely, because everything except the outcome cards really resonated with me--seemed to indicate that I was moving in a positive direction, that all conditions at this time are manageable or at least serviceable and then...what? And I mean: what?! I wound up with cards in both "outcome" placements that have extremely negative connotations for me. Those are the last places I would want to be in any sense as the outcome of the path I am currently on. I've come all this way to well, rid myself of that shit. I am still actively making the hard but painful choices necessary to not go back to those places because--they aren't good for me and they're not what I want.
