Mercury Retro is sometimes rigidly vastly over emphasized in terms of it's import.

Mercury is retrograde for three, three week intervals of the year. That's roughly just under 20% of the time. Agreed, it's not great for signing contracts, buying electronics, or over scheduling. But it IS great for cleaning up miscommunications, going through files, renegotiating issues and a holy host of other things.

There are some astrologers who believe it's influence is longer than that. They believe the retrograde influence commences from when Mercury hits the degree at which it will ultimately go direct (November 10th) until it hits the degree at which it goes retrograde (January 7th).

In short, rushing a deal to avoid Mercury retrograde won't necessarily insure that there won't be some bugs to work out.

So relax and perhaps, maybe consider not forcing things.

I'm waiting for the paperwork for my house refi, so I'll make sure to turn it around right away to get it in before the 30th.

5. In my experience,
Merc Rx might not be such a bad time for signing a RE-something -- that's indeed what "REtrograde periods are for: redoing something -- rethinking, re-examining, rechecking, re-building, etc.

I'm not saying to hold OFF, I'm just saying that if it turns out that the signing comes up during that period, flow with it instead of fighting it. Put it all in the hands of the Universe to work out Right Timing and go with the flow.

6. like anything else...don't get crazy and you'll be ok
I can always tell a Merc Rx aaporach...my ability to speak coherently just...poof!...gone (worse than normal for twisting words LOL and typos...argh!!!!)

But really...I just chill like Stellnoir said and it'll all be cool. ..and as Eloriel said...it is a good time to re-do things you started or need to re-visit....its not all bad...Merc Rx's give us time to reflect and re-do what may need to be taken to a bit deeper level.

Remember that what you focus on is what you get....

9. Well, how would you like to be born...
with a retrograde Mercury? When I found out that Albert Einstein had a retrograde Mercury I felt better, lol. :)

It's really not so bad and in some ways it has made me more careful and reflective. When you have an Aries Mercury you have to have some constraints and the retrograde position keeps me from being so hasty.

It's not a fatal position; it's just annoying when appointments have to be cancelled, the check didn't arrive in the mail or that important call didn't come.

In the best case scenario you have an opportunity to right a wrong and go over something you missed when Mercury was direct.

Look at the house placement Mercury is in and what aspects it's making--then you'll know in what area of your life it's going to affect you.
