For a long while now, my husband and I have known that our house is too small to fit our needs. It's a nice house that has made a wonderful home, but we need room for our son, a music studio, and I need room for me to read/write/noodle in. We've been working on plans to fill in the two-car carport and creating a studio there, and giving the second bedroom to our son. That doesn't address my space needs, though. That has contributed to my emotional resistance to the addition, the other being my concerns about the marketability of the house without a carport. The market for houses in our neighborhood has been crazy good since we purchased in 2002.
As time has passed my husband and I have developed our "fantasy" criteria for a new home... a giant lot, three bedrooms, a freestanding garage or outbuilding that can be converted to a music studio...
I think I found that home. It has 1 acre (subdividable). Three bedrooms. Two bathrooms. Oddly enough, the square footage is exactly what we have now, 1200 sf. A 20x30 outbuilding is on the lot. It's three miles from where I work (currently we live 8 miles from work), and it's located near public transportation (which we can ride for free).
I really value the input you have all contributed to my well-being. This forum does a lot to keep me afloat and keep me on solid emotional ground. What do the stars say? Psychics? Can you read anything from this?
Thank you!
