Have you ever had a chakra "wake up"?

One of my Reiki students gave me a treatment a few weeks ago. During the session my first chakra "popped" open (that's the only way I can explain it) and my second "woke up." This started from the time he put his hands on my crown. By the time he moved down to the second and first chakras he told me he felt heat rising from there. The next few days after that I felt really emotional, crying alot, and just generally feeling bad.

Last night in bed the same thing happened. It wasn't so scary since I had experienced it before. In fact it was kind of pleasant and I almost felt like I was going to pop out of my body. I didn't, but today again I've been weepy and sad (I have been teasing Dell that his Reiki treatment threw me into menopause. I'm not so sure that it's a joke).

This was the first Reiki treatment I had since I've been a Master, and I wonder if thats why I had such intensity with it. I treated my student right after, and he and another of my students do Reiki on one another at school (they're massage therapists too) and they don't have that. I used to fall asleep, but not now...

I didn't feel my heart chakra pop since then, but it's definitely open. Perhaps it was more of a gradual thing (or the dream was an indication it was opening). . :hi:

There are some interesting links in those threads. As I lie in bed last night I wondered if it might be Kundalini. I had thought I experienced it before with the energy running up my spine, but obviously it emerges in other ways as well. :hi:

There are others on this forum who are Reiki experts, so they know better than I do. But the very same thing happened to my massage therapist the first time she had a Pranic healing session. She was a total mess for a few days. Everything you are describing to a tee. But then the most amazing thing is that all the difficulties you describe went totally away and she had the most incredible 6 months of her life, in terms of good energy, positive attitude and peace. It was pretty amazing. So many things fell into place that she had been struggling with.

The first time I had a pranic healing treatment I felt like I had taken major uppers of some sort. I was in fast forward speed for a couple of weeks, I thought I would go insane. But very positive mood, happy, upbeat. But just overwhelmed with energy. It finally calmed down and I felt good for a long time! I thought it was my imagination as I did not know what to expect, but then I talked to others and found out this kind of thing can happen.

It was my fault really, I foolishly asked the pranic healer for a bit more energy as she was cleaning and energizing my chakras. And the first time she did my third eye I had a headache for two days after wards.

I always joke that I like my chakras dirty and spinning the wrong way. Clean 'em up and I go downhill! :)

Today is much better, actually. I'm glad to hear you and your friend had some positive experiences. Hopefully things will start leveling out for me now.
