Who has a real Sun Ancon Chi Machine?

I got mine a year ago and love it. I can't imagine life without it now. I asked this question in the Lounge a few days ago and got few responses. You folks might be more knowledgeable about its benefits.

4. Mine's not a Sun Ancon,

but I got one a few years ago. I do like it, but sent it on to Phoenix, where I hope to be living soon - when my house sells.

I have friends who swear by their Chi machines.

5. We have one

It's great, but we don't use it as much as we should. It can really give you an incredible rush of chi energy through your body. The Sun Ancion are supposed to be the best and are priced much higher than other makes I have seen. I have never tried another brand and would be interested in hearing experiences with different makes.

7. The machine is wonderful

Without going into detail, it does three things:

It aligns one's spine

It provides an aerobic workout to your boby without having to ambulate or stressing the heart (as unusual as that may sound)

It pumps your lymphatic fluid (thereby opening up your chi, according to chinese medicine)

It was designed by a Japanese doctor as I recall to artificially generate a vibration in the body that mimics the purported frequency of healthy animals in nature. Someone once told me the goal had been to give people you cannot ambulate the opportunity to get workout benefits. All the other benefits seem to be ancillary but just as effective. I got my machine in order no to have to keep going to my chiropractor because of an old injury near the 3rd lumbar that never healed properly. I felt great after an alignment, but eentually I'd start getting stiff again even after losing weight, and getting flexible. ..... Well, since the chi machine I've never gone back to the chiro, and I have flexiblity better than when I was a kid. You also get the best, deepest sleep, you've ever imagined. I know women who have (had) fibromyalgia who swear that it's the magic bullet. For them it's like a personal masseuse. You really have to follow instructions though. I only use it once a day before bed. You have to drink a big glass of water afterward to flush out the lactic acid. You're supposed to use it first thing in the morning too. But if I did that I would get too skinny. ... I have a low stress job. But. if I had a high stress job, you bet I would use it in the morning too.

That's extraordinary--and very interesting. Also, where did you find a low stress job? I need one of those.....

9. Just bought one on ebay...

I hope it works. My husband really suffers from degenerative back disease. He is a carpenter by trade. All the antiinflammatories have caused him to have acid reflux, so now, with Vioxx off the market and Celebrex warnings, this is hope! Thanks for the info. If it doesn't work for him, I'll put it back up on ebay and hope it works for someone else.

10. Silverlib, I'm so glad you did this! I've been reading about them, too...

My husband has the same problem that your husband has w/ his back (and neck, too), and with the anti-inflammatories. Let me know if it helps him!!

If $$ wasn't so short right now, I'd just buy one myself. But I'll wait to hear how your husband does with it!
