March 2006 Prayers and Healing
I thought I would start the healing and prayer thread, to follow up on OhioBlue’s great idea.

I envision this thread as a place for people to make their prayer requests, but also a place to post prayers and spiritual thoughts. I want to create good healing energy on the thread, so that just the posting of the request will confer some blessings and grace. And when we meditate and pray we can send some energy to this thread. I usually try to send energy to all of you, but now there will be more of a focus.

I was thinking we could start a new one each month, to keep it fresh, and to keep the energy level high. And the prayers could reflect the seasons and or current events.

Just my ideas about it, perhaps someone else has something else in mind? I think it is a work in progress.

So to kick things off:

I am half Irish, with strong Celtic roots, and since this is March with St Patrick’s Day coming up, I wanted to share a well known Irish blessing. (Please feel free to post any info about St. Patrick, in hopes we may be given some of his wisdom.)

This prayer has strong sentimental value in my family, and was the central prayer at my sister’s funeral.

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

Amen.

1. I'd like to request light for my dear friend Laurie...
who felt that she had to end her current relationship to be able to be true to herself. I also ask that light be sent to the man involved. He is a good man.

Thank you!

(This thread is going to be a wonderful way to send light where it's needed!)

2. That's a beautiful prayer, Cassie
And since the trees are budding and the birds singing outside my window, I will make a prayer for Spring. May it be Spring for all those whose hearts are frozen in fear and sadness. May the thaw come gently and with grace. As it has millions of times before, may each of us prove anew that the light is more powerful than the darkness.

I would ask that Tom Fox's family be held in the light. Though he and the mother of his children were separated, the love and emotions are still strong as ever for all of them. She is my reiki teacher, and since she won't be able to do reiki with me for a while, I would just ask that I be protected at this time, too. I am learning to live in the world with my heart open, and ask that God gives me what I need and not what I don't need on this journey.

4. Cassie, thanks for starting this thread
and for that wonderful blessing.

I wonder if I could ask for some light myself. It is unusual for me to ask for help, I'm not good at doing this.

My health is poor.

After ending a relationship (in which I could not apply for disability), I had to move in with a family member until I could get disability and (marginally) afford to move out. I had to move in with my abuser as a child...I had no other option.

It has been very difficult, as you can imagine. There were still many past issues to clear up...this forced me to look at them once again, and hopefully get them cleared up for good.

Now, I am facing moving out...excellent, as I have been waiting for this, however, an average place will cost at least 60% of my meagre income. I have no idea how I'm going to afford to live on that. I have been on a tight budget for years, so I'm accustomed to living frugally, but not this much.

I am hoping for a miracle, ie either getting a subsidy very quick (unlikely, the waiting lists are horrendously long) or somehow finding someplace that is affordable for me.

Thank you.

15. You are such a light in the world, u4ic.
It always makes me happy when I see your pictures in the picture threads because your amazing spirit shines through.

I ask that the Universe bless you with an easy path towards finding the abundance that you need to be totally independent in this life. I also ask that your health improves and that you are able to overcome the trauma that you had to revisit by living with your childhood abuser. (This or something better for the highest good of all involved.)

7. I would like to add all of those on DU
who are attempting to heal on any level. I especially want to send beacons to those healers who come and go on these threads as this has been a particularly difficult six years for the sensitive ones. To all of those who come to this forum and to those in the ancient wisdom group, I ask for strength and unity. I ask for single mindedness to move through these groups as we come together to send our love, light, energy and power to lift up all of those who are in pain. I ask for wisdom in knowing the right words for each of us to use and the right thoughts to send our planet, mother earth and all creatures who dwell upon her.

I invoke the presence of the ultimate healers of the light both seen and unseen.
I ask that this healing be as a wave that permeates all and I ask that it begin now.

In absolute love and light may it be so.

9. Invocation for Divine Blessing
The prayers posted thus far are wonderful, a special thanks to Oxbow and Ohio Blue.

I should have done an invocation for blessing right off the bat in my opening post. As I say, this is a work in progress :)

This is an invocation from Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, the modern founder of Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga. It is from his famous Meditation on Twin Hearts.

To the Supreme God,
To our spiritual teachers, to all the spiritual teachers,
To the holy angels and spiritual helpers,
To all the Great Ones,
We humbly invoke divine guidance,
divine love, illumination, divine oneness,
divine help, and divine protection.

We thank you in full faith.

Amen

10. A question:
What exactly am I holding in the light? Do I try to remember all the people mentioned in this thread while I'm doing the work? Do I just ask that those mentioned in this thread be taken care of? Do I hold the thread in the light, as strange as that may sound? I'm a little new at doing this on such a general level, so I want to hear what your prayers sound like...

11. very good questions
Ox,

I will share my ideas, but they are not carved in stone. The others will have ideas as well. Perhaps I should try and see how other prayer groups function.

If any one else has more experience, please chime in here! My intent is for all of us to create, manifest, and heal. Something that sticks in my head is that it is not enough to be good, we must do good as well.

I have been sending healing energy to the spirituality group in general, now I am going to send it to the healing thread, then to the specific people on the thread. If time is short, then just one of the above.

Actually I have good powers of manifestation and I can hold the thread in my heart chakra all the time. It just stays tucked in my head and heart.

Also I am going to periodically read all the prayers and requests and just feel the healing energy as I read it....The prayers posted are so nice, it will be very enjoyable.

And if certain ideas or prayers come to me I will post it. As a matter of fact, something did hit me already, and I pm'd one of the prayer requesters with an idea.

I think at this point we can be creative and see what works. I will try and look up the prayer research and see what the latest thinking is.....

Remember it is the intent that is the most important part, not the how or the specifics.

12. prayer research
Oh one of the things that has been coming out of the prayer research is that the most effective prayer is one that doesn't ask for a specific outcome, but instead asks that God's Will Be Done. That we be aligned with our higher selves or higher purpose, etc. Maybe someone else can phrase it better than I, but I think you get the idea.

When I pray, I like to do both, asking for God's will, and also then ask for specifics, covering all my bases.

13. Also, from what I understand
prayers are more effective if they are of the "thank you" variety...as if what we have asked for has already happened/been granted.

I try to pray this way as it resonates with me.

Thank you, cassiepriam, for this thread, and for sharing with us your beautiful spirit.

14. Thank you Hope for this important reminder.
We should be thankful for all of our blessings. I try to do this as well, but I admit I am usually asking for something instead of saying thank you!

Maybe we could periodically post some of the things we are thankful for.

I am so very grateful for a safe place to be spiritual, where I can work on my soul purpose. It is like being on the other side!

33. Protection for those in harm's way
We have asked for light and protection to those in the Mideast who are the victims of American aggression.

I would also like to ask for protection for the brave people here in this country who put themselves in harm's way as they fight the good fight:

1. Cindy Sheehan. I read that she received injuries during her recent UN arrest. I wish her healing energy and protection.

2. And to Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald, “Fitz”. We cannot forget him this St. Paddy’s Day. He and Cindy Sheehan are most certainly in some danger and most likely receive the same kind of death threats that the SC justices are reporting.

3. And some DUers will be attending a protest march this weekend on the east coast rally this weekend. I think some folks from the spirituality group will be attending. Please by careful. I am old enough to remember Kent State, and can not bear the thought of a repeat. Please stay safe.

Courage. Wisdom. Faith. Light. Love and protection for all who are willing to stand up and speak out. You are all Profiles in Courage.

Edited on Fri Mar-17-06 05:52 AM by I Have A Dream
(I'm not sure if we'll actually be marching, but I'm up for it if that's where it goes.) I also start a 3-day spiritual "fast" tomorrow with tomorrow being the worst of the 3 days because I'm only permitted to have root vegetable broth tomorrow. The next day I can throw brown rice in with it, and the 3rd day, I can have steamed vegetables and brown rice with it. (Not a true fast, but a huge dietary restriction nonetheless.) It will be interesting to try to attend this rally on an empty stomach. (I'm not a fun person to be around when I'm hungry so it might be difficult to focus on light and love.)

35. Please be careful Dream.
During the Viet Nam War they were called Protest Marches. Peace Rally sounds more gentle, but do not be naive. These things used to get out of hand, deliberate provocation by govt backed people, and pro war types. Just keep your wits about you.

I am concerned especially since I am sensing a big shift in the energy of this country and it worries me. I wonder if any one else feels it? It is an intense ugly shift. The carpet bombing of Iraq, the SC Justices reporting death threats by the fundies. The repugs becoming moe desperate, more zealous, more destructive, going more over the edge? I would be curious if any one else feels it. Even more surreal and nightmarish?

Dream, is the dietary fast part of the rally or is it something you are doing your own? Hope you are going to be OK with it. Are you going to be doing a lot of standing at the rally? If your blood sugar gets low you could get woozy. Maybe you should delay the fast a day? Also drink lots of water so you do not get dehydrated.

36. Thanks, cassiepriam. I certainly will be careful.
The rally that I'm attending will be in Pittsburgh, and the Pittsburgh police have already tasered people at rallies. I've attended a candlelight vigil already, and there were not any problems. However, I will do my part by staying aware of my surroundings, and I will ask the Universe to protect me if this is for my highest good.

The fast is part of what I'm doing for a 12-week spiritual program. I'm trying to get the worst of it done over the weekend so that I'll be able to eat the vegetables on Monday when I'll be at work. I'm going to eat immediately before midnight so that I'll still have some food in my system for tomorrow morning's rally. I will definitely pay attention to the signals that my body is sending me and will be sure to stay hydrated.

I personally don't feel the energy shift, but I'm not very sensitive to such things. To me, it just seems like more of the same insanity that we've had since B* came into office. :(

Thanks again!

Edited on Fri Mar-17-06 02:19 PM by cassiepriam
or headlong into a taser wielding policeman :)

Not sure if that will help the cause or your spiritual growth :) (When Gandhi fasted, he was just sitting around in his underwear on a cushion, wasn't he?)

Just keep alert and your intuition on high. There are usually environmental cues when there is danger, make sure you stay clued into the environment. With your blood sugar low that may be problem. Make sure you go with someone you trust. I do not mean to sound paranoid, but anyone who lived thru Viet Nam protests knows what I mean.

As to the energy shift it feels real and significant, and not good. If you see the posts on GD you can feel the somber and horrified mood, it is palpable to me. Gone from outrage to deep sorrow and despair, a big sense of powerless. I hope I am wrong, maybe it is just my imagination.

42. Turns out that there is a 3.1 mile march involved as well.
Edited on Sat Mar-18-06 12:03 AM by I Have A Dream
Normally, 3.1 miles is nothing. However, it's going to be interesting tomorrow given my self-imposed dietary restrictions.

I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but it was recently discovered via Freedom of Information Act data that the FBI has been spying on Pittsburgh's Thomas Merton Center's anti-war efforts. This is the group that is leading this peace rally/protest march. Things might get interesting; we end right at the military recruitment center.

One good thing about the fast is that I've since learned that the root vegetables in tomorrow's meals can be pureed, so it's not just the broth. That should make it much better.

I am sorely tempted to not go, and I know that this is my husband's preference because he's also doing the fast. However, if not us, then who should go?

I ask for strength from the Universe to do this important thing. (This or something better for the highest good of all involved.)

Edited on Sat Mar-18-06 06:25 AM by cassiepriam
You do not get extra karmic points if you and hubby get woozy on the march and have to be hauled away in an ambulance. In fact you probably get some points subtracted for that stunt:).

Please use some good sense here. Given the fact you admit you do not do well with fasting, and men in general have trouble with it, I think you should re-think things.

And then on top of it all we know this may be a situation where you and hubby are going to need your reflexes, brains, and body to work well. We know what can happen, you admitted the police had tasered people at the last march. I think you might want to chose between the long walk or the fasting. I think you should listen to your husband's intuition about this.

48. I survived the peace rally/march. Thank you so much for the light!
I attended a peace rally/protest march in Pittsburgh today. It was led by the peace group that was in the news recently for being spied on by the FBI. (The Thomas Merton Center.) There were people on the roof watching us with binoculars; it was pretty creepy. I don't know if it was the FBI, the local police, or some other Federal organization.

A young woman who was recording for a local college asked me to tell her on camera why I was there. I made sure that she filmed the men on the roof. Additionally, we were permitted to make our own signs in the church which was the starting point of the march, and someone asked to photograph my sign. (It wasn't at all exceptional. My guess is that she were trying to photograph all of the signs.) Many people went by in their cars and honked, which was really nice. (The city of Pittsburgh is very blue. The suburbs are another story.) There was only one car that went by screaming support for Bush, and there was one business that we went past that had a sign outside that said 'I love Bush".

We marched for a little over 3 miles, which wasn't bad at all. I was concerned about the marching because I began a 3-day "fast" today. (It's not a total fast, but today was the most restricted day of the 3 in reference to what we could eat; we could only have root vegetable soup that was pureed. I originally thought that I could only have broth, so it was better than I had expected.)

I would guess that we had about 500 protesters that attended the march. I think that we would have had more but it is still cold and it was quite windy. There were quite a few people there with their children.

The police pretty much stayed out of the way until we arrived at our destination -- a military recruitment facility. A group of anarchists toppled a metal barrier, so the police made their presence very well known at that point. There must have been about 40 officers there, and they were dressed in full riot gear. I left at that point because I knew that I really did not have my wits totally about me given my fast situation, and if things got out of hand, I couldn't count on myself to think at my best. (I also promised cassiepriam that I'd do this if the energy started to change. Thanks, cassiepriam!)

Once I got home, I saw on the news that the rest of the protest was uneventful. (Thank goodness!)

Thank you all again for your light; I'm sure that it helped to protect us today!

51. I'm glad you're ok, IHAD
 Thanks for your synopsis.

I hope it doesn't take too much out of you in the days ahead.

Thank you - for bringing attention and light to a crime against humanity. I'm glad you had a pretty good turnout.

There was a small protest here in Edmonton - they said about 100 people showed up. However, when one considers the state of our weather today (a huge snowfall last night/this am...we even had buses being stuck in the streets, it was madness), that's not bad. Unfortunately the news only wanted to show the ones with spiky or blue hair...I'm sure there were plenty of 'average' looking people there, too.

The cops would have been too backed up with traffic accidents to even give them a thought...

Prayers, please, that our administration will stop this headlong rush to even more bloodshed and death and that those who favor sanity, compassion, and life will grow stronger and more able to fight those who would spread darkness.

On a personal level, prayers, please, for my brother who is so lost in his own tangled thoughts. Please, please, please let him experience clarity and peace of mind. Thank you.

49. I need you to send whatever you can to me, personally.
I don't know what is wrong with my body. My problems began before Thanksgiving.
I thought I had it under control, but a week ago Thursday, everything changed for the worse.

The pain in my gut and lower back is making it difficult to stand upright. It feels like I have a football filled with cement in my gut. It is very heavy feeling.
The heating pad makes me feel better while I have it against me.

I am miserable. I took something earlier that the pharmacist recommended and I am a little nervous
it is going to send me to a new level of pain.

Thanks everyone.:grouphug:

55. Digit have you tried applying castor oil under the heating pad
Place the castor oil on your skin where it hurts and a towel or something like that,(something that you don't mind ruining) cover the towel with saran wrap and place the heating pad over it. (reuse this same towel soaked in oil just put it in a plastic bag). Do this at least 45 minutes twice a day and see if it gives you any relief. It usually takes one to two treatments but don't stop for a week. You can back off to once a day after it eases up.

Also, while you are laying there relaxing with the heating pad, place your hands side by side or in a comfortable position over your heart. Imagine healing light pouring through your hands and entering your body through the heart center. This energy will go where it needs to go.

On your behalf, I call forth those unseen healers who are of the light to direct the energy and soothe your body as it heals. I thank them in advance for their gifts and know that this healing will be for the highest good for all those involved. I ask that only the energy of the most high enter and surround you as you heal. I ask that this healing begin now and continue as long as you need it.

In love and light.

OB

60. Update- I can feel the love and light surrounding me
It is really quite amazing. I am much calmer than I was and although I still have pain, it is not as bad overall. All of the symptoms were making me spiral out of control. My lower back is still pretty bad if I try to stand for any period of time, but it is not nearly as painful as before. I am eating light meals and only had chicken noodle soup for dinner. Oh, and I did apply some castor oil today with a heating pad. Geez that is messy stuff.

Possibly it was my trip to the pharmacy that exposed me to the cold virus. I began violently sneezing last night and immediately went for my echinecea. This morning, I began sneezing again, and reached for my magic pills. I have kept up the echinecea all day today and although I feel "some" of the cold symptoms, they won't be around long. That stuff works like a miracle on me every time! Oh, and it is not allergies...I don't have allergies to pollen and such.

I will try to call the doctor tomorrow when my daughter (who is home on spring break) isn't around to overhear my conversation. She is in her last year of college and it is close to graduation time. I don't want her to get stressed out and spoil things for her.

Thank you to all the kind souls in AHASG! :loveya:

63. Quan Yin, Beloved Goddess of Healing and Compassion
Many of you are familiar with Quan Yin, Buddhist Goddess of Peace, Forgiveness, Unconditional Love, and Healing. Quan Yin is one of the world's most beloved goddesses, and vast numbers of monuments and altars, both ancient and modern, are dedicated to her throughout the world. Worshipped by perhaps more devotees than any other goddess ever known, the most beloved of all Chinese deities, Quan Yin (also known as Kwan Yin, Quan, Kwan Yin, or Kwonnon), is usually depicted as a beautiful woman pouring healing waters from a vase to ease the physical and spiritual distress of her devotees.

Because of a profound trust in Quan Yin's saving grace and healing powers, many believe that even the simple recitation of her name will bring her instantly to one's side.

We ask that Quan Yin give us her light and healing energy and assit those in need here on this forum.

Some of you may want to try this Quan Yin Meditation: Find a comfortable position and close your eyes. Allow your breathing to deepen and your mind and body to relax. Imagine that it is nighttime and that you are on top of a hill looking out over the ocean. The full moon has just risen and the moonlight shimmers on the water. You gaze at the moon for a long time; the moonlight is powerful but soft, and looking at it makes you feel calm and happy.

The moon now begins to get brighter and brighter, so bright you can barely look at it. Gradually, it becomes Quan Yin herself, her whole body surrounded by a glowing aureole. She stands on a lotus that floats on the waves. At the sight of you she smiles a beautiful smile, and tears of happiness shine in her eyes. Imagine her radiance filling you, her strength, her peace and her compassion becoming a part of you. If you repeat her name, your mind will be calm, and she will stay with you.

Finally, it is time for her to leave, and she becomes smaller and smaller. At last the sea and sky vanish too, and you rest in contemplation of the beautiful, empty space that is left. Let yourself become space. When you are ready, come back into your body and slowly stretch. Open your eyes and look at the world about you. (Taken from The Heart of the Goddess, Hallie Inglehart Austin)

I try hard to absorb Kwan Yin's energy. I love her peace, calm, compassion, her endless love, her infinite Chinese patience.

In this life, my energy is Druid/Celtic. Wilder, higher energy, passionate, a tumble of ideas and inspirations, urging others to action. Very verbal, loves to write. Picture an archetype of streaming red hair, flashing green eyes, dashing about. Actually I spent a number of past lives in Ireland, Gt Britain.

I love the Chinese energy and wish to work on it .....

A friend has come into this life with the energy of the Morrigan. As her studies progress, and she comes to manifest that energy more and more, she has become an awesome woman. She manifests the Celtic love of the story and the power of the poem in ways that bring us all deeper into the truth. In a hearbeat, however, she will remind us that death is our ultimate destiny here, and that we are all about the work towards that.

I'm glad to find your wild Celtic energy here.

The frustrating thing is that the treatment I was undergoing was working great for one week, then stopped. My providers and I found out why, made the necessary adjustments and now I'm trying to move back to the healthier place I was in, but it's frustrating to wait during the interim. I was feeling SO much better and then to have the progress halted abruptly like that--you can imagine how upsetting and scary that is. Some of the things I'm getting therapy for are my abandonment and trust issues; no one abandoned me in this situation or broke my trust, but to have a vastly improved situation suddenly just collapse on me...ouch. It's the emotional fallout from that reversal that hurts the most.

79. Yes, will do.
Listen Blue, do you know how to meditate?
And do the breathing that goes along with it?

The scientific research is very clear that this will help reduce anxiety, by lowering stress chemicals (cortisol) in your body.
People with anxiety are tending to d short rapid shallow breathing.
Throughout out the day, remember to periodically breathe deeply:

Straighten up your spine, imagine a string on the top of your head gently aligning and straightening your body, and then do some regular deep breathing. You can do this anywhere, anytime. This will put oxygen into your system, and begin to raise the endorphins. This might help your treatments work better.

The best way to get better is to remember that you are the most important part of your treatment team. You have to help your treatments work.

When I face a health problem, I assemble the best team I can find, consisting of the best of traditional medical physicians, and also alternative. (I like to cover all my bases!) And I realize that I am the most important part of the team. I have to help myself get better.

After just a few short days, I really feel like I'm back on track. I feel kinda silly that I forgot how to do relaxation-oriented breathing, as one of my first therapists ever was the person to tell me about it. Also, I have been reminded by a couple of other providers over the years that if I want to feel generally better, I shouldn't forget to get the oxygen to all the places it needs to go in my body. Silly Iris! And breathing is so cheap and easy, too.

There's nothing better than feeling healthy.

83. FYI
In one week the March 2006 Prayer thread will come to a close, to be followed by the April thread, which will be led by Ohio Blue. I thought it only fitting that she take over for April, as OB was the originator of the prayer project.

I envisioned the Prayer Thread as having a rotating leadership each month, to keep the energy fresh and to bring different ways of praying and thinking into the project. There are many paths to heaven and all are equally good.

On March 31st, I will officially close the March thread, with appropriate prayers and thanks to all.

88. I hate to have to do this, but feel I must. I need light & prayers.
In the last month, I have lost all feeling in my legs THREE times, for several minutes each. My doctor has put me through several tests; MRI, carotid ultra-sounds and a cardiac stress test. The MRI showed narrowing of the arteries, suggesting a possible impending stroke, but the carotid ultra-sound was normal. So unless it's my heart now - I've had to re-schedule the stress test twice - it appears I may have MS, which has been undiagnosed for over FIFTEEN YEARS!!! This, despite the fact that my eye troubles - confined to one eye, and my bladder problems - chronic for FIFTEEN YEARS have pointed to MS all along!!!
I'm scared, upset, worried, pissed and just coming out of the worst case of flu I've had in two decades - the "perfect condition" for a stress test. :sarcasm:
The Doctor says she won't "consider testing for MS" until she's ruled out the possibility of heart problems, even though all my other symptoms ADD UP to MS. I don't know enough about MS to challenge her, even though MS was considered a strong possibility after a collapse I had many years ago by the best doctor I ever had. No other doctor has even considered it a possibility, just continued to treat each symptom seperately, as though they were unrelated to ANYTHING. She agrees that it IS a strong possibility, but insists there is no hurry IF it is MS, despite the fact that I am losing the feeling in my legs.
Right now, I'm trying not to cry my eyes out because when it happens I am walking - and then BOOM! no feeling in the legs at all, the brain goes mushy, then into panic mode. I grasp at the walls, only to have to throw myself at the wall to slow my fall. Believe me - this is every bit as frightening as facing down a crazy man pointing a gun in my face, which I've done.
My stress test is next Friday, and I see her the following Monday, so I won't know anything until then, at the earliest. Until then, I'm staying close to home, lest this happen in public, which would embarrass me no end. Right now, I feel like there's a knife in my lowest lumbar vertabrae, which makes movement unpleasant, to say the least.
So, I ask for your light and prayers that WHATEVER is causing my symptoms be found, a correct diagnosis be made and that they tell me WHAT IT IS. Thank you ALL, I love you ALL dearly - I just didn't know where else to turn - my family is convinced that I am made of solid steel, but right now...I've never been so scared.

:scared: :scared: :scared:

91. Prayers being sent now to you.
This is hard to do under the circumstances NB, but try to stay calm. It is OK to be angry and frustrated, but try to have courage and faith that you will get to the bottom of this. The stress is not helping your symptoms at this point, perhaps making them worse.

Follow your doctor's advice about the stress test. Then have you thought about getting a second opinion? You can get online and find out who the MS experts are in your area. Find the most reputable physician with extensive MS experience and get a consultation with him or her. Also have spinal/back problems been ruled out?

You are in charge of your health and your body. Give yourself credit that you will do what ever you can to find out what is wrong. Find the best doctors you can find to help you.

92. I will send lots of positive vibes your way.
It feels like I've got them to spare right now, so you are welcome to all the extra light. Also--pssst. You shouldn't feel bad about posting in the prayers thread. That's why we started it.

94. NB, this is a very scary situation that you're going through.
Please allow yourself to have your emotions regardless of whether other people think that you're made of steel. The last thing that you need right now is to worry about keeping up appearances.

I ask that the Universe give you comfort and peace in reference to this situation until you are able to get the tests taken. Additionally I ask that you go through the tests easily and that you are given the correct information that you need so that you can start taking whatever actions you need to take to make yourself healthy again. Finally, I ask that the Universe allow you to feel its loving arms enfold you so that you remember foremost that you are greatly loved. (This or something better for the highest good of all involved.)

We're here for you when you need us.

96. Thank you everyone for your prayers and light!
It has helped calm my nerves more than words can express to know you all care. I have spent the last two days in my gardens, clearing debri and marveling at the new spring growth, all while talking to Mother Earth. I realize that I bear MAJOR responsibility for letting these questions regarding the cumulation of symptoms be ignored, after all, I was the one who should have been asking questions all along.
Well, falling down got my attention, and it will remain on these questions until I get the answers I need!!! Whatever is going on, I NEED TO KNOW WHAT IT IS! And it is MY responsibility to not let up on my Doctors until I have the answers I need.

Thank you all again for your kindness and caring, it truly appreciate it, and my prayers for all of you are continuing as well. Now, I'm off to erect my greenhouse, which will help keep me calm, too.

:loveya:

97. NB, I really do understand
It took me 9 years, of strange, and sometimes very disabling symptoms, before I got a diagnosis (CFS/Fibromyalgia).

I know all too well many of the symptoms you describe...I was tested for MS, too...not having your body under your control and 'working properly' is indeed terrifying.

One thing that I have learned...very recently, in fact...is that it is ok to be vulnerable. You aren't made of steel...you NEED that support, whether it be from us (you have it!), your family, friends or medical team (from all would be ideal). It is, as you are so very aware, a very, very scary time.

I ask that the Universe guide you to the right doctors, specialists, diagnosis and treatment. :grouphug:

95. March Prayer thread closes March 31st
The March Prayer thread will be closed at the end of the day on March 31, to be followed by the April Prayer thread opening on April 1, led by Ohio Blue.

I believe that when a group of people come together to pray and do good work, the energy becomes powerful and an entity in its own right. I thank you all for the privilege of being a part of this.

I thank all of our spirit guides, angels, and spiritual teachers for their help, wisdom and guidance in our work.

I thank all of you who sent healing energy, light, love and prayers to this thread. Please know that it is in giving that we receive, it is in healing that we are healed. (St Francis of Assisi.)

And to all of those who asked for help, my wish is that you received what you needed, as well as comfort and hope.

I ask that the remaining energy generated by the March Prayer thread, be given to the following:
1. The April Prayer thread and Ohio Blue
2. The DU board as a whole so that those in the most anguish may know some peace and hope
3. Skinner and the rest of the DU management.
4. I also ask that some of our love and light be given to a personal project of mine, the suffering women and children of Iraq.

My best wishes go to Ohio Blue and the April thread and all who post there.
Again thank you and many blessings to all of you.
