Today has been a roller coaster ride. This afternoon I got a call from the doc saying that a endo biopsy I had on Wednesday still showed some atypical cells and in addition, some grade 1 endometrial cancer cells. I'm hoping that someone can lift me up in the light to help get me calmed down and give me strength to tackle this.

I had a dream a while back that really shook me up. It was very similar to a dream I had about my mother after she passed and one where a friend came back to tell me not to worry that I hadn't gotten pregnant because it would happen, then he gave me a gift of a basket of blue items. I had a baby boy almost a year to the day of having that dream. The dream I had a while ago was my family women who have passed (grandmom, mother and aunt) talking in a waiting room area. They were talking about someone having cancer and saying something to the effect that this person would be in a happier place soon enough. I woke up with a feeling that they were talking about me. I hope it was my worry that caused the dream instead of a communication, but needless to say, I'm scared. I can't remember if that dream happened before I started having problems or after. That could possibly tell me if I conjured the dream myself.

I feel that my worry and everything could be undermining me and working against me. I've been reading the manifestation thread and hope that I'm not working on myself in a negative way when I really need the positive.

Any ideas or directions to point me in?

3. Thanks. DU has been my sounding board and ties to sanity

since Nov 2004. It's such a wonderful community. Now, if I can just get myself calmed down. It was hard at work today. The dr. called me there and with only 2 walls of a cubby, privacy was minimal. I've been wavering between crying and not crying all afternoon. Something in my favor was that they wanted to do the biopsy and actually had it scheduled for April, but since I was there for my regular visit on Wed., I asked if he could fit in enough time to do it then. So, they caught it earlier than they would have, but 6 mo. too late in my mind. They had me go thru a 6 mo. progesterone trial to see if the lining would fix itself, so I've been having problems since August.

Healing thoughts and prayers are much appreciated.

2. Maybe the happier place they may meant

is that things are not as bad as you are feeling right now and find a place of peace knowing that you are/will be alright.

Take some deep breaths and visualize your cells in complete and full health.

Don't be afraid....you have the strength of a million angels lifting you up...

4. Dear woodsprite,

Please know that we send you love and light.

I know what you are going through in some ways. I found out that I had cancer 8 years ago when my boys were just 2 and 5. Your dream gives me great hope- Don't loose sight of hope.

Strangely enough, I knew that I had cancer before the diagnosis. I kept running into family friends who had had cancer etc. and realizing that they were 'sending' me a message. After, I found out that I did in fact have cancer, I began to have 'visits' from family members who had crossed over- great aunts, grandparents and etc.

Please, know that they are VERY close by watching over you and helping you in any way that they can. And, that you are on a path and it is your path, and you are meant to take it. It is part of your soul's growth.

And, please, try not to be afraid. It is my belief that cancer is quite curable. You see, I had fairly advanced breast cancer that had spread throughout my body. And, my lab values were those of someone near death ( White cell count of 1.2!).

Ultimately, I ended up going to a hospital in Mexico where I did Gerson Therapy. In less that five weeks I was completely cured!

5. I'm so sorry that this is happening to you, woodsprite.

I ask that the Universe and those beings that work with you for your highest good envelope you in a blanket of peace and comfort so that the fear can leave you. I ask that you feel the love of the Universe, and I ask that you are guided to those things that will allow you to take action to heal your body and the associated damage done to your psyche caused by fear. (This or something better for the highest good of all involved.)

You mention that you've been following the manifestation thread. In addition to taking all possible medical action, maybe you could try to manifest a complete & total recovery. It will give you something into which you can put your energies rather than allowing them to futher fuel your fear. One of the steps could be visualizing yourself as being well in the future.

first remember that you are God having a human experience here - then in your mind's eye w/ eyes closed see your self standing infront of yourself - clothes- free and ask for any dark spots within your body to be revealed to you for healing.

9. I will echo DesertRose.

Perhaps the "better place" is not a physical one, but a state of mind. You would be happier in a post-cancer state, should that be the case.

As difficult as it will be, try to stay positive (watch happy movies, things that make you laugh and smile). Question your doctor until you feel you have all the answers s/he has (peace of mind).

13. Do you eat cruciferous vegetables?

These are the cabbage family veggies, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, bok choy and of course the many cabbages available. There has been some studies on these vegetables, which indicate that they could protect you from cancer. You would have to eat some form of them on a daily basis. I eat coleslaw a lot and throw broccoli and the others into salads as well as eating them as a side dish.

Other than this, I do believe a positive attitude and keeping calm can help you immensely. Do aromatherapy and meditation to reach these goals.

I hope everything work out for you and that this is just a false scare.

15. Thank you so much. I do eat alot of those veggies, and

I've been trying to eat alot of veggies/fruit since this cancer is estrogen driven and meat/soy are full of it.

I'm not as weepy/terror filled during the day right now. At night, it's a different story though. I drift off to sleep and I startle awake with a really panicky feeling, like falling off a ledge. Today I'm feeling exhausted. Almost fell asleep at my desk today at work, but startled awake the same way. I know that's definitely not good for me. DH is experiencing some of the same. We've been married for 20 yrs and were highschool sweethearts. He's scared of the surgery and complications, where I find the testing phase much worse than contemplating the actual surgery. I'm always afraid they'll find something that I didn't know was there.

Like I told him last night, if it was just the bleeding, I would have control to either elect the surgery or not. With this diagnosis, I feel that control has been snatched from me. I'm an Aries and I am having a hard time dealing with that. ;)

Today I had my CT scan, the first of several tests before the Apr 5th surgery. I also have appts for a mammogram, lower GI, chest x-ray, bloods, and a meeting with the gyn/onc to go over all the results. Realistically, I know they've kept a really close watch on me for the past 2 years, doing endo biopsies pretty much every 6 mo. I have a good prognosis, as long as nothing changes during the testing. It's just that unknown of what else could be wrong in there. They are taking the uterus, ovaries, tubes, and cervix, then test lymph nodes if cell invasion is 50% or more thru the uterine wall.

Before bed I try really hard to go thru the visualizations that you have all mentioned. Right now, I'm feeling like I've lost the ability to communicate at that level. I had such strength when going thru everything I did with my mother during her illnesses and passing. I was thinking maybe my mental state or exhaustion is blocking it now - either that or I'm having a hard time doing it for myself.

Despite all the great words of wisdom that's hard to absorb when you're the one sitting in the middle of the horrible situation, people can't help but fear the unknown. I hope your fears can be taken away with the love and compassion (= light) you find around you.
