Why do I smell breakfast?

It's 1:31am est and I've been smelling what smells like various breakfast items (mostly bacon and pancakes) since around 1:15am est. Does anybody know why?

1. Interestingly, I was reading the following right around that time...

reason, for instance, an inner victory. For nothing happens without cause and effect. The
perception of fragrance is already more, it is a spiritual experience, a sign. This sign is given as
encouragement to stay on your path, or it may be a reminder to take this path. It is, at any rate, a
sign of grace. It means that help and strength are given to make the next victory easier.


I don't know that you'd consider breakfast smells to be "fragrances", but who knows.

5. I've had several times

smelt different fragrances. Once I smelt that baby powder and some type of perfume that smells like flowers. The only other time I've smelt breakfast type food was when my great-grandmother on my dad's side died. She came by to say goodbye and I smelt ham which was her favorite meal.

3. Do you ever get migraines? I almost always get olfactory auras just ...

before a migraine hits - I smell pencil shavings & orange peel. Not as unpleasant as what I've heard others get, but it's always a sure sign for me to batten down the hatches & get ready for it! The more intense the fragrance, the more intense the migraine.

I've also gotten fragrances coming through when 'others' were paying a visit. Often they would be smells associated w/the person in life - like favorite perfumes, foods, etc.

Pancakes sound kinda good now - this time of night ... straight to the hips they would go! LOL!

6. Nope never get them

I did get headaches for a little while but I think that might have been stress or lack of sleep or something like that. But I used to smell things all the time before my shield got put up. I've been taking it down lately to work on my abilities and the smells have come back.

4. Probably a Spirit Guide

I have a guide who smells like cigarette smoke. Not very pleasant, but I know when he's trying to tell me something. It won't go away until I go into meditation and ask what the message is.

On the other side of the coin, Divine Mother sometimes comes with a lovely smell of roses--it's especially strong (and lovely) when a friend of mine and I are doing spiritual work together.

I think you have a new guide (or an old one who is giving you new signals) who is trying to get your attention in some way. I know from reading your posts you are very intuitive. I would just go in and ask. It could be very interesting.

7. Think so?

I'll have to try. It's harder for me to sense things but I have been feeling someone I don't recognize following me here and there. I remember a few times I've smelt some real sweet perfume fragrance (flowers and sometimes strawberries) and baby powder which was really strange. I've smelt breakfast before but that might have been with a vision I was having at the moment. But I'll have to try it out. :)

8. Was there any one in your life that prepared breakfast items

for you and has now passed on to the other side? Was it a pleasant experience while they were alive and something you looked forward to?

I lost my mother in July and I had a very strong experience where I could smell her perfume like she was standing right next to me.

I believe she was!

Or as others have pointed out, it could be one of your guides.

9. Hmm I didn't think about that

I remember when I used to visit my grandfather he and my grandmother always made breakfast. Ham, eggs, biscuits etc. What I smelt previously. I didn't feel him though since he does pop in every once in a while. I do think I have a new guide but I'm not confident to tell if it's her or not. I still have a good part of my shield up and I'm not ready to release it.
