Astrologer C.C. Zain on scandals, sex, and public apathy

Hey,

I've recently joined the Church of Light which has a strong focus on astrology. In addition to the material on astrology, Tarot, alchemy, etc. in the lessons, there is also commentary on current affairs. Even though he died in 1951, in these passages the Church founder Zain sounds as if he's explaining why Clinton got impeached and why Bush gets away with murder:

"A man may be known to pull many unfair strings to obtain a public office and there will be little comment. He may be shown to have exploited the position of public trust in which he has been placed, and while such use of the public confidence to gain his private ends and enrich himself is condemned, it gets scant publicity. He may be known to be a man who has by sharp practices accumulated a fortune, and still be held in public esteem. Even if he has ground the face of the poor, has paid the lowest wages and demanded the most work, has crushed competitors by force, and has taken an exorbitant profit wherever possible, he suffers little in the respect of others.

But if, as every politician and boss of the underworld knows, this man's name, or the name of another who has committed none of these sins against society, can by fair means or foul be linked with that of a woman in a transgression of the conventional standards of sex, his political career is at once ruined. When the underworld has tried all other means to remove a conscientious man from office, and has failed, it invariably "frames" him with a woman." (Cosmic Alchemy, p. 102)

I found it intriguing that this spiritual teacher had such insight into politics in America, and how close to the mark this still hits 60 years after he wrote it.

Clinton wasn't exactly "framed", but it certainly was blown out of proportion to what happened.

I've never heard of your church before. It sounds as though it's a place where your soul can really be fed.

2. Framed with Jones, without whom Lewinsky would be unknown

I discovered the Church through a free software program that calculates astrodynes (Allan Edwall produced it) which Zain originated. Here's their website:

Although Clinton had an affair with Lewinsky, it was only because of the Jones case that he ended up in court over it. While I'm not sure he's entirely innocent in the Jones case, it seems most likely that they are both lying, and what he said and did fell short of her claims but was more than he would admit. Jones became after the fact the instrument of a Republican operation to bring down Clinton, and that's the part about Zain's commentary that struck me the most.

The "underworld" reference as applied to Republican dirty tricks is chilling!

I think it was Boris Yeltsin who said he'd heard about a r-w plot to plant a young woman to seduce Clinton. He wrote this in a book a year before the story broke, if my memory serves me correctly.

I think it is entirely possible Lewinsky was "arranged" to seduce him.
