July 2011 - Prayers, Light, and Healing Requests Thread
Thank you to ASAH for being patient with me. I was out of town and unable to post. It is my every hope that those we love are held safe in the arms of the Universe, now and every day.

You are invited to bring your requests for prayer, light, and healing to this thread. All are welcome here.

In a time that hope and light seem to be in short supply, the sun still fills me with joy. After all, sunrise tells us there's another day to try again. I hope this summer warms your heart and soul as we get another chance for laughter, love, compassion and service to others with each sunrise.

In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.
-Camus

What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us.

2. I didn't win, but that is okay.
Truly. Just the nomination is a huge win from my career's standpoint. In other words, agents and editors want to find out why my manuscript was chosen out of the hundreds that submitted to the contemporary single title category, so I've had a ton of requests. (YESSSSS.)

A woman in another category won the other night. I was happier for her than I would have been for myself; she's been working in excess of TEN YEARS for this day. I'm so thrilled for her.

I wondered to myself what the effects of the eclipse were on the outcome.

:woohoo:

In the meantime, just thinking of all of you and your thoughts and prayers really helped, too!

3. Schweeeeet!
:woohoo: indeed. Sorry you didn't nab the prize, but yeah, "Golden Heart nominee" carries a LOT of weight! I hope you get multiple offers to choose from!

For me, the eclipse has kicked my motivation into high gear, and I've been working nonstop to get my query letter into shape (BLECH!) to start e-mailing agents. It was surprising, how the eclipse affected me--didn't expect that--but I'm obeying!

4. Thanks for starting this thread today MV
I'm still in the thrall of my misery and there are moments when I can see something beautiful, and then the darkness hovers over me again. I've decided I'm suffering PTSD from my experience on the first eclipse and the comfort of the angels and the consolation of my friends are helping me heal, but I'm still so scared. I want to remember that I am safe, but it still doesn't feel like it is possible.

Please see me in the light of the Goddess and that I am safe and secure in my life.

PS. I just got back from "Market" in Dallas where I picked up a beautiful White Tara who now lives at my house. Reminded me of you. Mine is much simpler than the one below. The woman told me she was good for overseas travel as well.

6. What a beautiful Tanka!
I've been thinking of going to Market in September to sell some Asian art. Was it busy? Were people buying? DId you go to Market proper or one of the other shows at Market Hall? Sorry for the 20 questions, but you are the only person I have heard of going.

Thanks for the blessings and comfort.

7. Which Market are you going to?
Dallas stank. I had not been for a couple of years and the gift show was very poorly attended on Thursday when I went. I talked to a vendor after the fact and he said the weekend crowd was better, but I'm not convinced that was true. (Although better would not be hard to do, since the show was comparatively empty.) I hear tell Vegas and San Francisco gift shows are better.

The merchandise on display was also not inspirational. The show felt like a poor quality Asian flea market. We had to go to the Dallas Museum of Art to cleanse our visual palates.

PM me if you have more questions.

9. After the review
I'm staying home and saving the money. If we don't make any, at least we won't lose some while we're at it!
Thanks!
I was thinking about September because there is an antique/collectible market at the same time which is what I would do for $200 rather than $2000 since they would be in the same building (Market Hall)

12. I need some prayers/light desperately, please.
For myself, emotionally. I can't say exactly why, but I feel really bad about myself right now and I just can't seem to shake that.
I so do need to feel some Unconditional Love; if anyone has any to spare. I hope some day I can understand what is going on with me. I seem to have lost 'it'/my way and I'm not able to see my way back right now. I pray that will change.

14. sure, you are loved unconditionally!
It is a helpful reminder that loving oneself is an imperative, sometimes difficult with all the self talk and monkey minds that we have.

Try EFT--"Even though my monkey mind and self talk at times is self destructive, I truly and completely love myself, accept myself, and respect myself. I am infinitely lovable."

The easiest way to do EFT is simply to sit and repeat whatever affirmation sounds right to you, in the presence of the YouTube I put up

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hvjm2XqaKkM

Then, also there is a new one on stress reduction.......Lion yoga pose clearing....click on my username meditationslideshow and find and play it.

One of the main reasons I created all these things for use on YouTube is this thread. Although I can send you infinite love and gratitude in a general way, these things are more targeted and effective.

The issues is not that you aren't lovable infinitely, you are.......but you need to be open to feel it. The slideshows will help, they really will.

18. Prayers for my mom, please
My aunt (her SIL) died last night (rather unexpectedly although she was going to be 90 on Tuesday), and her neighbor died Thursday evening (expected--he had had brain cancer for a long time), and my mom is not taking any of this well. Every time someone of her generation passes (or younger, as in the case of her neighbor, who was in his 60s), she sorely feels her own mortality and becomes very frightened.

But because she's never been quite capable of expressing her true feelings, especially fear, she tends to lash out in inappropriate ways, picking fights with people (me) over the weirdest things. I feel bad for her, but I can't talk to her right now. I'll check in with her tomorrow, after she's had a chance to calm down a little.

So please send her calming vibes to quell her fear. Thanks.

19. Prayers, please.
I need to find the perfect tenant for the building next to my office and I need to generate some serious cash for my business. This month the economy has been brutal and the amount of unexpected expenses have been high. A less than fun combination.

Helpful thoughts and prayers for complete prosperity aligning me with my highest self, completely welcome.

Up until now, I've noticed I've been too much in worried mode. Releasing that blocking energy and letting in light now.

Thanks in advance. :grouphug:

28. I have been having a day of cake.
It started with a dream this morning -- I was picking out the best slice of a delicious cake. It was an entertaining dream and set a good tone for the day.

When I got to work, someone had brought cake. Their grandson had a birthday yesterday and they wanted to share the leftovers. It was delicious.

Online I like to frequent an artist community called Deviant Art. There was one message for me this morning -- one of the artists I watch posted a drawing of cake: http://aka-shiro.deviantart.com/#/d3n86de It, too, looks delicious.

On the way home this evening the radio DJ shared that she had snitched a delicious cupcake from the office fridge. She was not sorry for the deed and I drove the rest of the way home with a huge grin on my face.

In light of this, I hereby declare today as being Cake Day. May everyone's homes and bellies be filled with delicious cake-y goodness! :grouphug:

29. I had cake today!
I wasn't planning on it. My aunt died, 10 days shy of her 90th birthday, and today was her funeral. After the church service there were goodies in the church hall--cookies, mini cheesecakes, brownies, etc. Her daughter had made her birthday cake--angel food, with white marshmallow icing and blue sprinkles (blue was my aunt's favorite color)--and served it up.

Happy "birth"day, Aunt Marian. Hope you're enjoying the Other Side. (Her last words, spoken to someone unseen, were "I'm ready to go to Heaven now.") :toast:

38. Could use some healing please
I have to have a biopsy and a procedure on Thursday (cervical dysplasia). I went through this over the holidays, but it has gotten worse, which is a bad surprise. Then, yesterday, the Scorpio (#2) I was crushing on proudly announced to me that he has found the love of his life (obviously, not me), which was quite a painful sting. So, now I'm sad and scared and need to get in a better frame of mind before Thursday.

Anything is appreciated. I'm not telling my family, so I feel very alone.

Thank you.

the funny part....

I was in the exam room meditating and setting my space, trying to be calm and at ease...
the doc knocked on the door, that little soft knock to let you know they are coming in
and i nearly jumped out of my skin!

we both had a really good laugh!

the procedure was not fun, but should be less crampy as the evening goes on, i hope and it could trigger my period to come early too
just part of the protocol before a hysterectomy, to check the uterus for other bad stuff...

the good news is that my surgery will be done before laborday! no more yukky monthly evil awfulness!
