Ok, what's going on?
People (in general) have really been a**holes this week. At work, online, even a home-repair guy!

Either I'm not explaining myself clearly, or people are feeling argumentative and seizing on one word or phrase - or even a facial expression - and just getting obnoxious for no real reason.

Can I hibernate until this is over? Sheesh! :hide:

1. I've noticed it too!!!
Troublemakers coming out of the woodwork. Trying to keep calm, but it's difficult with everyone trying to rain on my parade and harsh my mellow. Ugh!

I hope it lets up soon.

2. I got that around the full moon
I was astounded at how shitty people were behaving. I suspect it's going to keep on going, in waves, while the world is so unsettled. Unfortunately. x( I strongly recommend hibernation and am grateful I work from home. :toast:

3. I even had someone on the UFO group
writing something rude in response to something helpful I'd written. It was WEIRD.

6. I don't know if this would have anything to do with it but...
Saturn went retrograde yesterday/today (depending upon the timezone). Saturn is retrograde for long periods of time (approx. 4.5 months, if I understand it correctly) every year, so it's not unusual. However, since it's just now happening, the energy should be really strong.

Here's some information:

Saturn Retrograde

* feels inside that they're never good enough
* indulgent outward behavior may mask inner feelings of inadequacy
* hides fears

Saturn deals with karma, limits, responsibility, tradition, conservatives, authorities, long term goals and accomplishments patiently created, taking responsibility, creating structure, and setting boundaries. Once a year the planet Saturn goes into retrograde for about four-and-a-half months. During this influence, you will probably find it unwise to attempt sudden changes or to rush through things. Take practical steps and accept limitations while you take serious steps toward your long term goals. Saturn retrograde can cause you to become your own hardest taskmaster, limit your actions or leave you feeling blocked and pessimistic.

Saturn retrograde in your natal chart, indicates that you are likely to have been abused by those with power over you, perhaps having faced unfair situations at home. You may need to declare personal boundaries in order to work out conflicts with authority on a karmic scale. You could feel that fate conspires against your desires but it’s really you putting the brakes on through feelings of persecution or inhibition in the house where it is placed until you work out how to face doing or confronting whoever or whatever it is that threatens you. Your lesson is one of patience and steady application of hard work as you overcome the impatient urge to cut corners. Everything you gain will be hard won but you will eventually succeed, win the respect of others and actually can shine where you faced difficulties before.

It doesn't really sound like what you're describing, but who knows how people handle things... Otherwise, I have no idea.

7. Actually, it makes alot of sense ...
... lefties are frustrated, righties are mad-as-usual and feeling persecuted-as-usual, people in the middle are just trying to make sense of everything and keep their bills paid ... so nobody really has 'AN ISSUE' that they're pissed about, they're just generally pissed.

And Saturn going retro is triggering that sense of "abuse of power" and "unfair situations" even moreso ...

... so when does it end? (I hope I have that much vacation time banked up LOL) O8)

:hi:

8. Ooh, that resonates
Saturn retrograde can cause you to become your own hardest taskmaster, limit your actions or leave you feeling blocked and pessimistic.

Shit, the other day I nearly threw out my novel, because I suddenly got the impression it sucked so bad. Now, writers do it all the time (a friend once ripped hers into tiny pieces and literally flushed it down the toilet), so it's nothing new, but I refrained. It's still hard to edit it right now, though, because I'm looking at it with such a critical (overly harsh) eye.

14. Ohh, I've been there...
It really helps to have a break from re-writing and stand back, or even have other projects going to deflect a bit.. I'm sure you'll get back on track to loving your work!

16. I went backwards!
Edited on Wed Jan-26-11 06:22 PM by MorningGlow
I was loving it for the longest time, then I took a break (involuntary--had other stuff to do) but couldn't wait to get back to it. Then, when I finally had time (coinciding with Saturn Rx), I froze. Thought about it, and suddenly decided it was crap. I'm fighting to love it again. Getting there--as long as I skip the first chapter, which has been brutalized (for now) as I try to reach a reasonable word count. :banghead:

10. OMG, jinx!
I was sort of asking the guides what was going on last night and got that Saturn Retrograde is a big factor in the new tide of unrest. I have a long and difficult history with Saturn Retrogrades. In my experience, just as Merc Retros expose communication problems and Venus Retros can expose relationship problems, Saturn Retrogrades bring out ugly secrets relating to abuse of status and authority. And they can put us in a really foul mood.

15. I don't know if "it's" Saturn Rx or not.
Could be. We have to observe it to learn. It's not in any harsh aspect to anything, but that very well could be it. And the 17th degree of Libra doesn't sound significant. Perhaps it is.

17. Didn't seem likely to me either. However...
Edited on Wed Jan-26-11 06:27 PM by I Have A Dream
the fact that it's stationary at this time made me think that maybe the energy was just too strong for some people to handle with all of the other stuff that's hitting us right now.

:hi:

18. Yes, I agree
the stationary aspect could be doing it. After all, it's rx for 5 mos. I'm suspecting it residual effects from Jupiter conjunct Uranus: again, too early to tell.

11. Our inner bastards are being shoved into our faces
so that we may say "I'd like to be better than that".

Some don't have inner bastards, some do. This too shall pass.

20. I have noticed the same thing.
Because of that, I have been trying to be extra nice to people I know casually, or have to deal with at a store or business. What is up with this?

22. Yes, it's been weird lately
People are playing power games with me. I consider myself a very easy going person until I feel like I'm being manipulated - then I get ticked. And I have people trying to manipulate me all the time, but especially lately. My preference is to stop talking with them altogether, but they keep coming back, playing the victim while playing me. Some of them have major medical problems and using their illness as a way to try to control. Because of that, I don't tell them off like I'd like to, but I also don't give in to their BS either. Some of the other ones are in-laws, so I try to grin and bear it until I can be away from them. It's getting real old.
