Asking for help in getting items back where they belong...

A very good friend of mine posted this on Craigslist today. She is devastated, and I'm asking the group to send energy to get the shirts back to their rightful owner so she can make this quilt. Such a sad story. Thanks dear group for all you do...



My car was broken into and my dead son-in-law's t-shirts were stolen

Please help me. 100.00 reward for anyone who can track down the shirts. I was parked at ###### Pool - in the lot just above the theater hill, and someone popped my door lock and broke into my car. I don't care about the stolen wallet, groceries and singer sewing machine. I only care about the fact that they stole a bag of t-shirts that was also in the trunk along with my sewing machine. I had gone earlier in the day to a friends' house who was showing me how to make a t-shirt quilt out of my son-in-law's fighter pilot squadron shirts, and had placed them in a reusable REI bag in the trunk along with my sewing machine. I planned to make the quilt for my daughter's baby who is due is September. She found out she was pregnant only 3 weeks after her husband was killed last December. She actually got pregnant the night before he was killed...senselessly by a reckless driver...in his OWN front yard. You can google the freak car accident and news reports..."fighter pilot dies Cherry Hill New Jersey". Please... we are devastated. Please look in your trash cans and trash bins. Look at your kids...see if they are wearing fighter pilot shirts that you have no idea where they came from. Please - no questions asked. I just want them back so his baby girl might one day have that quilt on her bed and feel just a little closer to her brave daddy. Please. Just reply to this ad and I will get it right away. And even if you don't find them - please help me pray for the person/people who did this senseless thing...that they become convicted to do the right thing and to return them. They have my address for God's sake - they have my wallet and driver's license. Please. My daughter is devastated. She said "Finding them won't bring him back, but I can't stand it." I can't stand it either. Please.

I feel really bad for her; I think the fact that she feels responsible for losing them is a big part of why she is so upset. It's been a terrible time, with her daughter so far away and pregnant. I know it's a long shot but you never know. Thanks so much for your reply and prayers.

3. It really is so very sad. Why would such a thing have to happen?

How likely is it that something like this would happen? I will never understand how the Universe works, and I have to admit that things like this really make me angry. (Yes, I'm angry at the Universe! x() I know that there's some reason for it, but it just seems so terribly mean-spirited. My heart would be broken also. :cry:
