Super specific request -- Favor #2 :)
Before inviting a larger group (the current Ning group, where some of you are members already even though it's been dormant for a year) into Wishadoo, I have a VERY SPECIFIC request of my ASAH peeps.

It's a request which focuses on ONE PARTICULAR FEATURE of Wishadoo: THE WISHLIST.

I've removed test posts and we need to get real, authentic posts to start to populate it (and so the wishlist "feed" on the home page will have something in it; btw, the CRISIS, WHAT I CAN OFFER, and WISHES/DREAMS categories are what feed to the home page).

So, I'm asking you guys to please do the following...as always, only if you're so led :):

Evaluate your current situation, and the situation of those you're close to, and think about what you may need, in this moment and during this time in your life, to lift the burden in some way and/or -- miracle of miracles -- to inject joy and freedom or whatever it is you wish for yourself, your loved ones and friends, your neighborhood, your community, etc.

Do you or someone you know have a crisis that requires something specific -- "real world" specific to ease the suffering, in addition prayers and well wishes?

Please keep in mind that Wishadoo isn't limited to "stuff." Not at all. Please sit with it and ask, "What would make life easier for me right now?"

Is there something that that would make life easier or more enjoyable, not necessarily a critical need?

Is there something you can offer another, which may fulfill their dreams or ease their suffering in some way?

Surely we all have dreams; what would you love to manifest -- a connection, a resource, something -- to help fulfill some of your dreams?

I ask you to put it out there. That is what Wishadoo is for...that's the intention of Wishadoo. It's a place where people -- all people who enter with respect, can connect to help make daily life more tolerable, if not more enjoyable, as we go along. If you read through the "about us" sections, you'll learn more about why we started it and what we hope it can do, realizing that it's you guys who will really create it.

There is tremendous potential for good, as the core project has a lot of love and compassion infused into the foundation (and patience! lol).

I'll be working on videos to introduce our vision of Wishadoo to those who have never heard of it as yet, but hopefully it's apparent to this group that our intention is to provide a place to reach out and connect and help one another in a multitude of ways, including ways we haven't even thought of or created as yet.

I realize that since it literally is just starting, you may feel, "Geez, who can help me with this or that? No one is there and I don't want to 'put myself out there like this'."

Yet we have to start somewhere. The more people -- especially the more people who join Wishadoo who are local to your particular area -- the more chances for needs, offerings and wishes to be fulfilled.

That will require patience, but I promise that once we're through this initial week or two of inviting people we know in and working out kinks, I'll put all my energy behind promoting it, and will be asking everyone to invite those they know in; the more people, the more potential for compassionate, cooperative connections.

Craigslist started in one city, for one specific purpose, and now look at it. Wishadoo is indeed created to be a more focused "Craigslist of Compassion."

Thank you, thank you, thank you all so very much. I started a forum discussion category of FOCUS GROUP DISCUSSIONS where you can chime in about what you like and don't like, what works and doesn't work for you, what you don't quite understand, what you'd like to see more of.

You're helping to create this, and I thank you tremendously for any time and attention you can give to doing so.

(We're working on the Resource Directory this week, as the final programming tweak is done, so I'll introduce that more later; for now, for this specific favor, the wishlist is the focus :))

Just so you know (as I realize it may be confusing), many of THE PIECE PROCESS ideas were originally to be incorporated into Wishadoo. However, it became apparent that it's best to have them as two separate entities -- strategic partners, for the underlying intention is the same, but separate entities.

Wishadoo is very straightforward, with basic tools for people to connect: the wishlist, the Resource Directory, and forums/groups. Boom. Simple, straightforward.

THE PIECE PROCESS is just that: a process. This is where I can implement a variety of initiatives I've been working toward for 15 years -- and where others' ideas and initiatives can be birthed -- projects which hopefully are instrumental in creating a New Way of being in this world, indeed, recreating this world -- one step at a time.

1. Oh my goodness, OGR
That is fabulous. How many people have been working on this project and for how long now. I see the tag (copyright?) at the bottom says 2008-2010.

There is so much work evident in this project and I'm so excited for you. And for the rest of us who will get to be a part of this new kind of community. Whose idea was this? I know you've mentioned the project before, but sometimes I miss things. Sometime, I'd love to hear the background behind this.

And for now, what I'm hearing is that this is a step on our way to becoming who we are meant to be, as a society, as a world. So I'd encourage anyone to join in this endeavor to help bring in the new way. We need to take some steps toward that "Star Trek federation" world where everyone works doing what they love and there is no need for direct monetary exchange. There will be steps between here and there and this is one of them.

Imagine --- a world with no bankers. they could all be farmers. HA!

Yay OGR! Unite the world!:bounce: :bounce:

2. Oh my.....

oh my, oh my, oh my....you have me in tears.

Thank you so very, very much.

I am HONORED to share the history, as much as I can in a paragraph or two here. :)

Let me say right away that ASAH was VERY INSTRUMENTAL in us finally -- FINALLY -- finding the person I feel is a miracle programmer. I posted in the Prayer/Healing Thread back in January or February, asking for the dream programmer to come along and, I kid you not, within 48 hours this gentleman contacted me. I've been wanting to share that with you guys for the longest time, but life still had a way of intervening to delay launch of the site. But Wishadoo is now here because of you and your prayers, bringing Mr. Miracle Programmer into the fold! Thank you all!!! :grouphug:

The story...

My path has always been one of seeing the "big picture" (hawk medicine ;)) and longing for this new way since the late 80's/90's...a way of integrity, a way infused with a belief in our innate power and goodness. Empowering others has always been my mission.

Yet making what I thought were necessary connections (the people with connections and/or resources) to implement different ideas I had to help empower others was always the stumbling block.

I have a dear friend -- from another soul group, all of whom I met online over a decade ago -- who called me out of the clear blue sky in January of 2008. I hadn't spoken with anyone for a couple of years, as I was going through my most intense Dark Night of the Soul.

In that conversation, Wishadoo was born.

It has been quite a journey. Not only have there been dramas and disappointments with various programmers and other technical issues along the way, but we've both endured life crises in the midst of it. Of course, we all have over the years. For us, Wishadoo has been the guiding force, propelling us both to keep taking one step at a time, helping us maintain our focus.

The passion and love and vision upon which Wishadoo was born has only grown stronger over the last two years. We're merely creating the space -- but a space, a foundation, build on and surrounded by love and authentic respect and compassion for all things -- for others to gather and connect directly to create more compassionate communities.

It's the space to connect to find help with crises, as well as to manifest lifelong wishes, hopes and dreams...and everything in between.

There's so much more....but, to start, the wishlist is most definitely the focus.

First, we need to ask, just ask for what it is we seek...then allow ourselves to give and receive, pay it forward if so led...and believe.

Thank you for the wonderful confirmation of what I feel every time I go to the new site.

4. Hey there
Your Wishadoo project is perfect for this time in human history. Your project helps me feel better when I'm feeling so sad about some of the other stuff that's happening in the world right now.

You are truly One Grass Root. And when each of us join hand in hand we will cover the earth. See it. Feel it. Do it.

Love you bunches sweetie,
Bonnie

5. Once again
Superb job on the video.

One little thing, it's hard to tell that Wishadoo is a website. Of course we all know that, but for anyone who just comes across it it only says wishadoo.com in the very last frame and so quickly that I didn't even see it on first watch. Then it disappears behind the timing bar at the bottom. Of course viewing on YouTube is different so it's hard to know how visible it will be until its posted there, if ya know what I mean.

Anyway, congratulations, well done, and thank you for all that you do.

6. Yes, ma'am...

That's a technical glitch I'm waiting for a reply on today, and there's also supposed to be a "call to action" button at the end, with website hyperlink. Even if that can't be fixed, I can insert a call to action overlay at YouTube once I upload there, for people to see the website clearly and, I believe, click on it to get to Wishadoo.

As always, thank YOU for your thoughts, suggestions and support.
