First Crop Circle of the Season

It's near Salisbury, UK. Note the car on the upper right. It will give you a sense of how large this circle is.

1. 9 circles
Is it our planets and they are telling us to watch for some convergence of larger planets? Is it a timeline for us to think about in astrological terms?

Or is it telling us to get into our 8th & 9th chakras and manifest a better, more divine world?

hmmm....

2. Puzzling..., but I agree
it looks like two fields converging, or the field of the larger circle to the left merging with the one collective on the right of the picture.

But did you also see the complex formation of the last picture of another previous circle at the link?
I wish we were more intelligent to comprehend. That one looks like a planetary chart or something..

3. I confess, I am a total skeptic of the crop circle phenomenon.
Just don't think it's anything other than man made.

But, as to the purpose of the people making the crop circles...heh. I'm willing to entertain conspiratorial theories, there.

4. So people are sneaking out and making hundreds of these circles
year after year after year, and damn few if any of them ever observed or caught. Anonymous people have the time, energy, and inclination to do this hundreds of times a year? And to do it with FABULOUS creativity on a massive scale, over and over and over.

People must have WAY more free time & energy & creativity than me or any of my acquaintances.

5. To me, the idea that they're man made isn't that outrageous a concept.
At all.

The idea that they're being created by aliens is, though.

9. I keep wondering if they are part of a very secret wiccan ceremony
or a test of some kind for Oxford and/or Cambridge physics and math/or astronomy students.

I think that very intelligent people could do this sort of thing. They are beautiful and I like to try to undersatand any messages they may be trying to express.

10. I grow wheat, how would one do this at planting time?
The way the seed is drilled? Wouldn't the farmer's tell everyone- wouldn't someone notice the farmer driving the tractor in a weird way?

14. OK, then how would one do this with a grain drill
and not have the tractor marks all over the field? Or are their tractor marks that one cannot see from aerial photos?

I am curious about this and may try it next November when I plant if I can get a grip on how to do it. It sounds pretty fun, actually.

15. "Culture Jamming."
"A colloquialism referring to a species of media activism usually presented in the form of a fraudulent mass media event."

thebookman.wordpress.com/2008/03/01/postmodern-terms-absence-to-curtain-wall/

The Bay Area musical/political group Negativland are very good at the occasional culture jam. They once released a song called "Christianity is Stupid", featuring a heavy rock beat and samplings of statements of a Church of the Subgenius orator...all should already be aware of the wonderful Church of the Subgenius...well, Negativland then issued a single press statement over the AP wires that a young man had gotten in an argument with his parents over this very song, and had murdered them as a result. Totally nonsense, and done as a ping to a larger system, a ripple in a pond to see what would return as the waves reached the outer edges...the fraudulent story was picked up in a hurry by many major news sources and magazines, including Rolling Stone, IIRC. Using the media soundclips and voice mails, Negativland then assembled a long musical track featuring them :) The album is called "Helter Stupid", with the Beatles singing "Helter" and the Subgenius reverend's "Stupid", from the original track.

The record includes newspaper clippings, etc.

I'm not sure if this is the musical track with news soundbites or not, the library computers don't support youtube (at this particular branch).

Of course, some people still take the entire thing seriously, using it as an attack upon Christianity, when in reality, it was an attack upon a rabid, fact-free inbred media, who if they'd checked before blaring, would have found it to be a simple prank. You may agree or disagree, but there it is.
