This is one of my weird little ramblings. I'm sharing because I believed at the time of this odd sighting that there was a more global message, not personal (I can usually sense when it's a very personal message...the vast majority are). I still feel it was a more global message, yet I honestly can't grasp what the message may be, especially given the overnight events. So, I feel silly putting this out there.

I do so for others who resonate with animal messages, for what it's worth. ;)


The other night something odd happened and VERY much captured my attention at the time, and I've been pondering ever since.

While waiting to pick up my daughter from rehearsal at the high school around 9:30 PM Thursday night, I sat parked on a parking pad next to the auditorium/gym area. The setting was that all the perimeter lights were on around that section of the building, so it was well lit. It was very cold, so I was glad there was room to park where I did, rather than in the parking lot a few hundred feet away.

There was a decent amount of noise emanating from inside this one section of the school. This parking pad was adjacent to the gym, where the basketball team was practicing.

Having a few precious moments to simply BE, I stilled my thoughts and asked Spirit if there was a message...I'm listening...I'm watching. I wasn't even asking for myself on a personal level. On the contrary, I was indeed calling forth a message far beyond my individual life experience.

I didn't really expect to see an animal, other than perhaps a cat, though that would have surprised me given how noisy and bright that particular little area was, compared to the darkness and open space just beyond where I was located.

Not more than 20 seconds later, I saw what I thought was a large cat coming toward me. Then I realized it was much too big to be a cat. It surprisingly came directly toward me, which amazed me given given the bright lights and other noise and the fact my car was running. I'm used to animals hugging the perimeter of buildings to stay out of the way, to stay out of sight, and wouldn't have expected to see any around this particular busy section of the building.

I was, however, alone in that little area outside. The activity was inside.

I quickly saw that it was a gray fox. I was REALLY stunned. He/she came within two feet of where I sat, walked next to my car door, driver side and continued along in plain view until he/she disappeared around the side of the building.

My question to Spirit still fresh in mind, I started thinking, "What does this mean? If it were a red fox, I would think of the Earth's kundalini energy...volcanoes, earthquakes, etc....but it's a gray fox." It wasn't the "between time" as they're known for...he/she wasn't hiding -- indeed he boldly sauntered along in plain sight. I heard "48 hours."

Acting in a very atypical manner is the most obvious message...staying out in the open when one is accustomed to being hidden. Perhaps something about the Light.

I don't know. That's all I got. I've been confused about it ever since.

1. Amazing, I may have had a animal (bird) experience today

I have had an animal experience today as well. It started when I came out of the hospital this morning (where my husband was from Thursday until this afternoon, as many of you know from the prayer thread or FB, many members of my family, including me, have been having health problems). I had gone to get my husband to sign something so I could do some banking and on the way out the biggest crow I have ever seen flew low over-head and glided away. I wondered if it meant something then on the way to the bank I see crows circling overhead and I passed underneath the group. When I came out of the bank the crow group had come closer to the shopping center I was in and one left the group, flew over the parking lot and lit on a light post fairly close to where I parked and cawed loudly. I went to the cleaners, went home, then came out to go to my Reiki appointment at noon and over the main street near our neighborhood were circling crows, just like the group over the shopping center. As I approached the intersection one large one separated from the group and landed on the stop sign at the corner just as my car reached it and cawed.

I have not noticed many crows since all that, after I got my Reiki session then got the message from hubby that the Doctors were through with him and I could come check him out. But those guys were right with me all morning. I am still wondering what it was about, it was like they just kept getting closer until I had to admit something was up, I just don’t know what.

Foxes are beautiful and seem rare though, that has to have big meaning.

First, GTRO, how ARE you??? How is hubby...your dad....everyone? I've been thinking of you all daily and sending hugs. :hug:

As you probably know, there is a ton of information on the crow as far as Spirit messages, animal totems. So much so that I think it's best you "stumble" upon the one that may have the most meaning for you. I'd normally share sites but the crow is especially magickal, and I think you pursuing its meaning when the time is right for you may be best. :)

I was coming back to share another encounter. With the shifting of Mother Earth, no doubt messages and interactions with the Animal and Plant Kingdoms will increase. :)

I usually see a heron flying overhead about once a week. Not an uncommon occurrence, not like the fox encounter. ;)

So, when I saw one as I drove just now, I didn't think much of it. (For some reason -- even though I don't understand the messages of directions -- I DO pay attention to the direction birds are flying, as though potentially that is part of the message and one day I may ACTUALLY understand it :rofl:)

The heron was flying south. No more than 10 seconds later, as I continued to drive, I saw another heron. Flying south.

Okay.....THAT got my attention. I said out loud, "If I see another heron on this short drive, THAT is gonna be freaky."

Sure enough....another flies across my path...heading South.

The crows and ravens near my home were especially active and vocal today. So were the hawks.

3. I'm ok - thank you for your kind thoughts

Hubby spent Thurs through Sat in the hospital, it turned out that an intuition I have had for MONTHS about a medication he is on proved correct, it built up in his system made him dehydrate which caused more build up in his system....and on until enough people other than me told him to see medical help and he spent a couple of days in the hospital. He has already made a call to another doctor in order to make what we both know now is a necessary change. I am so grateful, it could have been much worse. My Dad is making daily progress, still in the hospital, but his voice sounds stronger every day on the phone and he is starting to crack jokes. More gratitude. My Mom has had no more weird symptoms so it must have been lack of potassium that caused everyone to fear a stroke. I have my hernia surgery Tuesday, so the taking care of that I have given hubby will need to be returned for a little while.

I saw online yesterday that crows stand for change and healing. Sounds like something that would definitely apply to what is going on in my life. Especially since they appeared all morning until I had my Reiki appointment, then not for the rest of the day. They were circling overhead as I drove along my way to go shopping this morning, but simply circled along my path and none followed me.

I am always fascinated by herons, I love to watch them fly over on their way to the water reservoir near our house. But I never see more than an occasional single bird, to see three in a row is very interesting.

Thanks again for thinking of us, I have never had a winter like this one and can certainly do without a repeat. Hopefully we all will be well soon, I hope the crows were telling me something like that. Spring will be here soon and the sleeping earth will come to life and nice smelling thunderstorms will replace the snow and slow walks through farmer's market will replace darting through cold parking lots into grocery stores. I keep this in mind! I want my next worry to be where to buy my impatiens.

5. Hey there, Dear IHAD...

As I've relayed this story several times, I find one part of the sharing most significant:

HE CAME INTO THE LIGHT.

That is what feels most powerful and most symbolic, in hindsight. A creature normally staying in the shadows purposefully, of his own free will, came into the light.

Something about revelation, darkness into light....something with that. That's how it feels to me.
