How exciting to greet not just a New Year but a New Decade with this prayer thread.

First I want to thank the selfless IHAD for her tireless service to this thread for lo these many months. She deserves a break! It is a real privilege to follow her lead.

I was going to try to capture a picture of the blue moon tonight, to post here, to say a wistful (??) goodbye to 2009, but, alas, as usual for this time of year, there are clouds everywhere. January can be a challenge because of the cold, the lack of light, low vitamin D levels, and beginning resolutions. Those are the reasons that I decided to focus on the sun instead.


The Salute to the Sun will get your chakras in balance. In fact, if you look at the positions, imagine doing them while simulataneously tapping EFT type taps, you should be able to generally be balanced even without doing the exercises.

Yogis face the morning sun while doing these positions. But it isn't just yogis that Salute the Sun. It is everywhere in our popular culture. Just a few simple examples:

"The sun will come out, tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar there’ll be sun."

"Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy."

"The sun is on my side.

I smile up to the sky.

I would be incredibly grateful for any light that could be sent to my Dad, he will most likely have a heart valve replacement in January 2010. Bless him, it will be his third heart surgery.

I have an infection deep in my lungs, it is breaking up now, I hope to get better. I am taking antibiotics.

My long term friend and therapist lost her husband. His funeral was on Wednesday. She has Parkinson's. They were married for forty years. I send her love and healing thoughts.

25. I'm not sure if I have the flu or a bacterial infection.

Was exposed to a coughing five year old on Christmas Eve. Am now sick. Clear drainage in sinuses. Washing them out with salt water in a syringe doesn't seem to clear them out.
Deep cough producing dark yellow gobs. I was taking antibiotics and I do not feel any better yet.
I thought it was bacterial, now because of the duration of feeling crummy, I think it's flu or cold.

Because of my condition (no saliva or tears) I have very little to no nasal discharge either. When I was sent to hospital a couple of weeks ago, I was sure I had walking pneumonia because I was so congested, and not getting sufficient oxygen to my lungs. They did chest xrays and my lungs were clear. However, being a sufferer of chronic bronchitis over the years, I decided to try Mucinex at my Dr.'s suggestion, as well as Afrin nasal spray for ONLY a week. The mucous I was getting up was very thick and sticky....therefore hard to get up, until using these products. It has helped me clear out my bronchial passages a great deal. I don't think it would hurt you to try it, of course with your Dr.'s OK !!

31. Well, I can't speak for everyone

But I didn't. But maybe we could set up the thread to have a sort of 24/7 emergency access. Or, maybe we could have a separate thread as a sort of emergency, where everyone adds their particular healing energy to the thread, and there aren't any individual requests. But people could access it whenever they want.

I think there is a possibility of that. I've been mulling over the idea of trying to use fingerprints as signatures instead of pictures. Maybe someone could touch theire screen at a particular point, and that would signal the healing energy to flow.

As an example, I could make a diagram, which had a place for people to touch their fingers to the screen. Then, included in my post would be particular healing energy stuff. Then everyone else could either use my diagram, or make their own, and use their own healing energy stuff to add to the thread.

I think I have found myself a new project! I think what I will do is combine this with chakra balancing at first, make the diagrams and instructions, and whoever wanted their chakras balanced could use this. This would completely bypass privacy aspects. As I have stated before, I have a few doubts about this thread because it is hard to do visualizations without knowing what people look like, and, uh, that's just hard to overcome. But using fingerprints could work.

So, be looking for this in the next few weeks from me, for the chakras. (!!) If people like it we could try it for other techniques, as a kind of group project.

During this mercury retrograde, he is undertaking extremely difficult computer testing and he must pass 6 of 7 tests. On the plane, he caught a bug and is now sick. He failed his first test today and is being re-tested on Friday along with his second test. (I know the only reason he didn't pass was because of the illness.):(

Healing light and energy so he has the strength to successfully complete his studies.

55. Healing for my injuries!

I fell down on the sidewalk today and really jacked my body.
It was so stupid & simple, my foot missed the curb, and down i went....it was that weird feeling of slow mo / too fast to stop it!
Total belly flop, I am lucky i didn't hit my face, stopped with my chin about three inches from the concrete.

My left wrist is all messed up and i skinned my right knee up pretty good... haven't sat and cried on the sidewalk for many years :(

What sux even more is that I am just starting yoga and don't want this to stop me, but the shockwave effect is now making my neck, shoulder and hips ache as well...

I am trying to keep my wrist supported but flexible with an ace bandage and my daughter did some wonderful energy work and massage while I soaked in the epsom salt this evening (she's 8, and such an awesome little priestess!) and she also put bandaids on my knee for me ...gotta try and take it easy...yoga is tomorrow afternoon, gonna go see the chiropractor in the AM.

my tissues are swollen, and the top of the hand looks bruised, but even my knee is just a little bump...

I went to Yoga anyway and did as much as I could do. The main ones I had trouble with were Downward dog and Table poses, so I just stretched and kept breathing, and it all worked out okay!

73. Lift the melancholy from my heart

..life goes on, i know...love returns, this i know too well...seems like most of the 'great loves' of my life are repeat affairs, on again, off again... (funny but the bad ones at least blow up or run away - at least it is the good ones that stick for a while.)

I just need to find my peace in the situation i find myself in. Todd & I are going to end up being friends, sharing the same meditation teachers and crowd of students (even if we are not in the same level, we still speak the same 'spiritual language') we are also working on a web project and running in a similar social circle. He is THERE right next to me....and the affection is still there... and it really does suck because I can't have the full relationship that I WANT with him.

I understnd that he has 'stuff' to work our and I do';t want to be a complication to that, either. I have been insensitive to HIM because sometimes when I'm with him all I can feel is what *I* WANT...

so I ask for peace and to not have a heavy heart and patience with this as it unfolds and we grow as spirits and friends and whatever else..

whether it was an exchange, coming from the cops, the perpetrators, or what. Also, still no word on what the nature of the conflict is about (drugs, domestic violence, whathaveyou.) We also don't know which branch of law enforcement is out there; this area is supposed to be rural, so it's more likely to be sheriff's department or the state police. That part wouldn't matter to me except that it could indicate more about what precipitated the crisis.

95. Update: It was a domestic disturbance that went south(er) after the police showed up

and the perpetrator barricaded himself in the home, with the victim/hostage.

Don't know if anyone was hurt or killed. Glad it's over.

I put in a request back in December; I'd been on a run of financial disasters, with a sick and wounded horse and massive vet bills, broken pipes after a big freeze, and then an electrical failure that amounted to another thousand dollars, and didn't know where I was going to find the money to fix the wiring and get the electricity back on.

Within 3 days of posting my request, I got a $250 check from a totally unexpected and surprise source, and managed to convince my mortgage company to allow a partial payment of the mortgage to scrape the rest of the money for repairs together, so the lights were back on in time for xmas.

I have to say that I went through that phase, and in retrospect, it was some of my better qualities that seemed to lead to that result-- non-judgment, openness, etc.

So, my intentions were sent so that they would not interfere with the above. If they do, you might have to put up with it, and then just clear out your energy fields after certain unwanted encounters.

114. Post asking for light to help resolve some "issues" I'm having with a moderator on another site.

For the past two years, this unpleasant person has gone out of her way to pick on me on the forums we frequent together, for no other reason (as far as I can tell) than that she does not like me or my posting style. I find it bizarre, as I have not done anything on those boards that is inconsistent with the rules, and most other people there like me. Also, from what I've seen, this moderator doesn't treat any of the other posters there in the manner she treats me. The way I see it, it's her problem.

I would appreciate it if you could send light to the effect that her persecution of me on the other site should cease, for the highest good, etc. Thanks in advance.

116. Update on my prayer request from December:

My knee was troubling me so badly, I couldn't walk more than a very short distance and had been on crutches, and with no insurance.
I finally was seen at the local University Hospital, where they prescribed physical therapy for ITB Syndrome. After just 2 weeks I can now walk just fine. I walked 5 miles today!

I need to get some important things off of my chest (in a very polite manner) and I'm not able to speak to the person face to face. They are supposed to call me back today, but have a habit of not calling when they say they will. (I pointed that out to them today, which they acknowledged, but not sure if they will call.)

So, I want my phone to ring the ringtone I want to hear. :)
