learning how to really love.
And while Venus/Saturn people certainly don't have a monopoly on the lessons of love, if it is in one's chart it signifies an emphasis on these themes in one's life. So you are in Saturn's classroom for learning about love, relationship, and the union of the masculine & feminine within oneself. And we are not talking about the romantic variety. Saturn is not romantic, but rather more interested in the fundamentals. So the Saturn/Venus person doesn't have the luxury of simple or superficial unions. There is usually alot of baggage that needs to be unpacked and sifted through, one miserable love experience at a time. Inhibitions in love, loneliness, frigidity (fear), abuse, a burdensome partner, etc. are all pretty typical scenarios. Of course each one offers an opportunity to examine one's motivations in attracting this to themselves. Often it leads back to the lack of intimacy with and love for oneself and a feeling of being unworthy of genuine love. And so one attracts a "reality" to support that belief.
So ultimately, this planetary combo is about learning SELF love. If one applies the lessons, then they have a remarkable opportunity to understand love at it's deepest and most authentic level. That's why some astrologers say that it often indicates a marriage (or equivalent) later in life. Saturn often signifies delays because it takes time to learn...sometimes a lifetime.
How one values things/money/relationships/etc. is a reflection of how they approach give and take and it, too, goes back to how one feels about oneself. If we see ourselves as lacking in worth, that can show up in how we deal with money, or in what and how we value things in general. Perhaps the Venus/Saturn person is tight fisted, afraid of loss, always being ripped off, etc.
This lesson is fundamental, and is a key that unlocks a precious gift.
