Any 'cures' for carsickness?
Max has gotten car sick since we took him home almost five years ago. The vet we had said he might grow out of it in a year or so but that didn't happen. He needs a tranquilizer just for the 2 mile drive to the vet. We tried taking him for short drives and then building them up but it never even got past the short part. He wretches terribly. I take the little one to the park for walks when the weather is nice and he can never come. I asked the vet we have now if perhaps giving him the tranquilizer and then taking him someplace nice and weaning him off would work. He said no.

Anyone ever have a dog that was cured?

1. Rescue Remedy, Ginger capsules, and check out the Anxiety Wrap.

The anxiety wrap DEFINITELY helped my Shepherd deal with thunder and lightning storms. He no longer goes into anxiety spasms. I put it on him and he is actually relaxed...

The Anxiety Wrap was created to fill an existing need, an alternative or holistic approach to behavior modification for dog and cats. It can happen by using the Anxiety Wrap to ease your dog and cat's anxieties. When used properly it has proven positive to increase balance, self-confidence, focus, preparation for and during training, animal to animal socialization, animal to human socialization, bonding, relaxation, and gait awareness. As well as helping to end dog and cat aggression, shyness, nervousness, releasing stress & tension, end jumping, stop destructive chewing, fear biting, car sickness, unnecessary barking, shyness, fear of loud noises, thunderstorm fear, sensitivity to touch, sensitive to sound, aloofness, emotional upset, hyperactivity, grooming issues and other anxieties.

3. Thanks
maybe this will help him. Does your dog still need to wear the wrap or do they come to realize that there is nothing to fear after a while?

think they ever get over that fear. Not sure if the same is true of the anxiety of car sickness, but if so, it would not be so bad to put it on your pup for the car ride and then take it off at the destination. It could just be part of his car-riding outfit.
