I just lost my best friend about an hour ago

My wonderful, spunky, mischievous, intelligent, troublemaking, warm, loving Quaker parrot, Eagle, died tonight at the vet of a respiratory infection.

I feel like I should write some sort of clever eulogy here. But all I can do is weep.

At least a friend cleared my desk of Eagle's incredible nestbuilding project, so I can keep it together enough to type this much.

Oh poor bird, I love you so very very much.
