any dogpeople here in GA, south of Atlanta?

8 absolutely gorgeous, sweet-looking dogs and puppies are scheduled to be gassed tomorrow at Spalding's County Shelter in Griffin. Their rules require adoption faxes or adoptions occur by 4:30pm the day before, but they've been closed since last Tuesday, so this was not possible.

I faxed over an application to try to save one of the lab puppies, and I will be calling in the morning. Hopefully there will be another reprieve for these dogs, since the shelter was closed for the last 5 days.

Please, if anybody in the area knows of local rescuers who can help these dogs, please contact them asap.

The are open to rescues and supposedly provide pull and transport info if you call them.

I'm heartsick. Don't know if they've had a reprieve or not. They already had one reprieve, from 12/23 to today.

They got my application fax, so hopefully at least one pup is waiting. I'm trying desperately now to arrange pull, foster and then transport. No luck so far...
