Please call Ask.com and get them to pull dangerous 'dog eating chocolate' ad!
I just saw this ad online. It's a video of a dog happily eating what appears to be a HUGE slice of chocolate cake.

Screen capture here:

The question is "Is Chocolate Dangerous to Dogs?" IF you click on the ad it takes you to the article that points out chocolate IS toxic to dogs, but my fear is that many will take the apparently happy and healthy dog munching away on chocolate as the answer that it's NOT dangerous at all.

Please contact Ask.com and ask them to pull the ad right away:

When I called, the receptionist said I was only the second person to call about this.

FYI, the receptionist is the only live human being you can speak to, so don't bother asking for the Advertising Department-- tell the receptionist why you are calling and ask HER to convey the message.

1. What fucking idiots....I lost a 10 month old springer spaniel who found
a pound of bakers chocolate. They're sickening.

2. It really is. Please call. The receptionist I spoke to acted like it was no big deal-- she
actually thought I was another woman who had called earlier in the day calling back. Maybe if she gets a few dozen calls, they'll realize what a mistake this ad is and pull it before anyone's pet gets hurt.

And I am so sorry for your loss. I just lost one of mine to old age and it's still wrenching.

take the ad wrong and thought it was kind of an over reaction. Then I remembered the idiot in chief and realized there really are people so stupid they would think it was ok to feed chocolate to their dogs on just seeing the ad. So called, complained and pointed out the same reasoning to them. They did not think I had called earlier either.

Maybe it's because I'd just been at the vets recently and heard yet another story about stupid people feeding their pets human food and making them violently ill. The puppy looks like he's having the time of his life chowing down on that cake in the video and, like the saying goes, you'll never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.

Thanks for calling. :pals:

7. Thanks.

It does piss me off that some people felt the need to attack me over this, but SO worth it if that ad gets pulled and some poor dog is spared a chocolate poisoning.
