Rainy days and sleepy cats
Oh it's so nice for a change to have a rainy day outside and sleepy cats inside. So restfull not to be awakened by yowling to go out.

Later we'll watch a little TV.

But it won't last. As soon as the weather clears, they'll be itching to be outdoors, and so will I.

2. Lily is a fixed female, yes she's a bit hefty
She is half-Abyssinian. Isn't she cute? She's 14 years old. Her Catster webpage is here:

3. such pretty eyes.....
I can't believe she's only 11 pounds. I wonder what my 13 lb fattie looks like on camera. If he wasn't so afraid of paparazzi i'd try to take pictures of him.

4. Our female Aby is a tiny cat.
She looks positively fat at 10 pounds, but trim at 8 pounds.

This is Sabrina FAT, 10 pounds (before she got sick).

Here she is trim, 8 pounds ... after she gained back some of the weight that she had lost from being sick.

Her son, Satchmo, is 9 pounds and looks very thin (we'd still like him to gain another pound). He's taller and longer than his mom.

I'm short, so I know how a few pounds on a small frame can look like more. :( I'd sure like to see a pic of your "fattie." :loveya:

6. Abyssinians are beautiful.....
i guess it is frame size. It's remarkable that 2 lbs make such a difference.

Dolla (my fattie) is a big cat. I think even if he were to be skinny - it would be at about 10 or 11 lbs. I wish i did have a pic - I have a polaroid from when he was 1 and haven't been able to get a picture since. Only pictures of him literally waddling away at high speeds. Maybe i'll ask my roommate if she can get a picture of him.

7. That's funny ...
... waddling away at high speeds.

I usually have to get mine when they first wake up. They see that camera coming out and roll their eyes. I have to be fast because I don't get many chances before they walk away.

I'll be waiting to see your Dolla. How old is he? We had a blue-point Siamese who was 10 pounds skinny, 11 pounds perfect. He was a big cat, long with long legs.

The Abys are beautiful ... and so are the others. It's amazing how many different colors and patterns there are. I'd like to have one of each.

:)

18. he's 10 and smart as a whip....

Grey with a white tuxedo and yellow-green eyes. Very much like a chartreuse.

I'll have to see if I can scan that polaroid, altho it's not very good. I use it as a bookmark. My other one is Onyx - he's 9 and he's a bit roly-poly too (he's the constipated one) he's prolly 9-ish lbs now. They both lost a nice amount of weight when I started feeding them raw, and now Onyx strikes a pose whenever he's standing still - to show off his sleek muscle tone, no doubt. He's black with a teeny white splotch on his throat.

As for Dolla waddling away - it cracks me up every time i see it. I sometimes wonder whether he's got soem sort of disability or soemthing because he doesn't gallop at a full run like my other cat (like a cheetah) his butt wiggles from side to side as he waddles off on his tiny feet, with his belly swinging back and forth. (counter to the wiggling of his rear-end). He also permanently keeps his tail up and resting on his back. very strange cat. But funny to watch.

10. Lily was the runt of her litter
and when I got her at 8 weeks she was barely a pound. She's small, compact like a little meat loaf with a black stripe of ketchup down her back.

She has actually lost weight since we moved back to Woodbridge and she's allowed out if supervised for short periods of time. I'll post these photos again, they're my favorites.

5. Your cats are beautiful!
And I love that kitty run thingy in the yard. I've seen them in the catalogs and wondered if they worked well. We have a screened patio right now, but we're thinking about moving and our cats would go bonkers if they couldn't go outside. Are you happy with it?

:)

8. It's the best $89 dollars plus shipping I ever spent
Pad Thai loves it. Lily was an outdoor cat as a kitten and doesn't go out that much so I trust her to come back but have had a bad experience with Pad Thai, thus the KittyWalk.

11. Yes he loves it!
He also gets to go for walks on his leash, so he has plenty of good, safe outdoor experiences

Or does it just sit on the grass? I can't tell.

14. It has a metal frame work around the arches and forms
but heavy duty cotton mesh, which means the cat can actually sit in the grass and chew a bit of grass and enjoy being outdoors. All around the cat is air and earth. Just like you'd want it.

16. Cute! My dogs slept all day too since it's raining but
they still managed to find time to stand at the door and stare to be let out in the rain.

21. Lily's other half must be something fluffy.
Her colors look very Aby. It looks like her fur is longer and fluffier. She really is a cutie.

A was delighted to sit under the car.
