I have NEVER posted here before..my tool bar is now on the SIDE
rather than on the BOTTOM? I do not know how it got there and I keep thinking it is going to correct itself...it has happened before, but it has been about two weeks and it is driving me CRAZY..I have MS 98 operating system. I know..I know...but I am NO techy, trust me (which I am sure is not a problem)

1. it got there by clicking and dragging

and that's what you need to bring it back to the bottom ...

it won't move until you move it ...

try to find vertical bars on the taskbar (like right next to the "Start" button, put your cursor on them (the cursor should change from a pointer to left-right arrows), and then click and drag your mouse to the bottom of your screen and release the mouse button ...

hope this helps ...

i don't have Windows 98 ... maybe someone who does can make these directions more specific to that operating system ...

let us know how it works out ...

3. here.
Google: "Windows 98 moving task bar"

http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000127.htm#21

My Taskbar moved to the left, top, or right side of the screen.

It is common for users to mistakenly move their taskbar to the left, top, or right side of the screen while working on their computer. If you wish to return the taskbar to the default position (the bottom of the screen), follow the below steps.

How to move the taskbar

Moving the taskbar is simple once you understand the basic steps involved. To move the taskbar, move your mouse cursor to where the time is currently displayed on the taskbar. Once your mouse cursor is over the time, click and hold the mouse button down, and while holding the mouse button down, move your cursor to the middle edge of where you want the taskbar to be. For example, if you wish to return the taskbar back to its original position, move the cursor to the bottom center of the screen. When the taskbar has moved to its new location, release the button.

5. Save this thread
It will happen again, mine did a couple of times, so far apart that I forgot about dragging from the clock.
