3. This happened to me yesterday( w/Firefox) for awhile; I
chalked it off to a DU glitch.

4. I have this happen with IE ...

I only have IE at work, and sometimes if I'm in the midst of composing a reply and find I need to open a new window to another DU page to check something. I occasionally lose which window was what and will end up trying to finish the reply in a new window, which causes the error.

The same kind of thing can happen with FF with the tabs.

Not sure about your particular case. I'd need more detail about what specifically you did and in what order, but it's not a problem necessarily with the browser itself, either IE or FF, just a quirk of the software that controls the discussion forum and its interaction with the browser.

i also have had problems posting when i have a second DU window open ... it must have something to do with cookies and the sessionID ...

5. Do you use Adblock?
An Adblock filter gave me problems with DU a while ago. Just a thought.

7. that's always the first thing i check ...
Adblock is great but it does cause problems on certain websites ... your tip is a good one ... the first thing i do when i have problems is turn-off Adblock ...

the problem i was having seems to have been DU-related ... everything's fine now ...

8. I upgraded to 1.5 and then had to back off the update.
I kept getting all kinds of funky stuff like cookie problems, tab problems, etc., and I went back to 1.0.7. I really can't afford for my browser to start acting up. . .

9. my upgrade to 1.5 was smooooooth ...
not sure why you had problems ...

might be worth trying the upgrade again if it wasn't too much work going back to 1.0.7 ... i know what you mean though; can't afford to have browser problems ...

10. Things were so bad after the 1.5 upgrade
I almost had to turn in my sheriff's badge. Everything's stable right now - think I'll wait until the next release.
