I'ts a Mach Speed Trio MP3 something or other. It uses a USB connection and it has a user manual that was translated mechanically from Chinese or something.

First of all the manual is so tiny I can't read it with my over-50 eyes. It doesn't make any sense, secondly. And thirdly, I can't figure out how to get music from the PC to the device. I tried copying the files from the Music Library to the J drive (where this device showed up when I plugged it in.) Nothing shows up on the machine's display.

It has a CD that I assume contains the driver but I don't know what to do with it.

Can anyone help me make sense out of this piece of crap machine? I'm old and not as into this stuff as many of you. I hope I've explained somewhat the problem I'm having. The next step is to throw the little thing into the backyard and wait for the snow to cover it so I'll forget all about it til spring.

1. Try loading the software on the CD, is is usually
just a couple of clicks, just follow the on screen instructions, it probably won't work without the drivers.

2. I did load the CD
The files just seem to sit there. There's no .exe file to run. That's what has me stymied.

Thanks for the answer.

4. Maybe an ".msi" or ".inf" file?
The .msi file is a new install format. Right click on this file and select "install".

Same goes for ".inf" files. My guess is the latter...
