Dr. Watson Postmortem Debugger?
This has popped up occasionally after I get an IE msg that IE has to close, even though I'm now using Firefox. Is anyone familiar with this, and why I might be getting it? Thanks in advance.

1. It's harmless
Watson captures information about your PC when it crashes for later analysis. If you want to disable it, you'd have to go edit your registry, which is not something I'd recommend if you're not technically comfortable. Otherwise just leave it.

4. I found this
here:
http://www.computing.net/security/wwwboard/forum/15863.html

dr watson is a legit program, but acebot is behind it. I am currently trying to kill it and have come across this site http://www.thenerdnetwork.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3086 (this seems to be a dead link.)

I tells you just about everything you need to know and how to destroy acebot. It is a slippery little devil of a program that is hard to get to finally die, but with how that site has you delete it will kill that virus and almost every other virus you can think of. When you are done you will have enough security to make the old USSR cry in there attempt to be like you.

And I looked it up acebot and found this:
http://www3.ca.com/securityadvisor/virusinfo/virus.aspx?ID=11532

I don't know anything about this I presume you are using XP but you should check it out and not just let it go.
