2. I have six Macs... Three Linux boxes... And one W-2000 PC.
And that one machine is SUCH a Pain In The Ass.

3. Hey Ben. Yes it does a good job but the problem is with "all"
the Spyware detection availible today is one is not enough. I actually have five+ kinds. I would advise on your Windows 2000 system Ad-Aware, Spybot, Microsoft's Antispyware and get a 30-day trial download of Spysweeper by Webroot. Make sure you also get all those updates for them, then run them. You can get them from www.pcworld.com .

4. The best program I ever installed is Spysweeper.
I paid for it, and it does a great job. I uninstalled Spybot,
because with Spysweeper, Spybot never found anything any more.

But Ad-Aware still picks up a few things, so I keep it as well.

6. I agree, Spysweeper is definitely better than Ad-Aware...
...SpySweeper picked up 50-80 bits and pieces that Ad-Aware missed.

I also use "Ad-Subtract" (used it for years now), it takes care of the On-line and Pop-up ads that the others aren't set up to get rid of.
