A sad face? Really? I suppose it could have been worse. They could have brought back clippy:

They could put possible causes, and leave it up to you to do the troubleshooting.

This is a bad, bad decision. Not the streamlined BSOD, but the frowny face.

I heard about this today on a podcast- Tech News Today, I think it was. Sarah Lane said that now, whenever she sees the colon/parentheses combination online, she'll think of Windows.

I agree. That's a bad association to make; I hope they change it eventually.
