A little while ago I downloaded the latest version of of Windows Media Player, Version 10 I beleive. For the first few days it worked fine. Then, when I would boot it up to listen to some music I had downloaded and error window popped up with the message "An Internal Application Error Has Occured". There was no other information available. I removed WMP 10 from my PC and downloaded it again. Once again for a few days it was fine. Then the whole error message started again. I have tried to play my music on some other software, I noticed that all of my song files have a designation of "Protected Data" and for some reason or another they will not play on anything else except Windows Media Player.
It is likely that I may have done something royally stupid. Such is life I guess. Does anyone know what may be the problem with Windows Media Player and a way to fix it? Or is there some way that I can get my music file to play on something else?
Thanks in advance!
