Career suggestions for my daughter
She's the first to admit she's a socializer. She wants to be a teacher but doesn't have the marks. I've been hinting at something medical or technical but she's not interested.

Teacher's Aide?
Daycare?

1. Good book series
"Careers for . . . " from VGM Career Horizons. We buy them for our college library in the career section. They're based on people's interests and personalities, like "Careers for Extroverts & Other Gregarious Types," "Careers for Animal Lovers," "Careers for Scholars and Other Brainy Folks," and "Careers for New Age Types"

In the extroverts book, the chapters include careers in acting, music and dance, sales, politics, marketing and advertising, and public relations and fundraising.

Good luck!

7. She already knew about it
Some of the results were a bit odd.

It mentioned social worker and daycare, but I thought auto mechanic was a bit of a stretch. she's not all that mechanically inclined.

4. I would encourage her to become a Teacher.
She may have to work harder than others to get passing grades but if she really wants it she will succeed.

5. Journalism
Half the battle is getting people to talk and to develop a good BS detector. If she can manage that, the editors can teach her how to write (if she does not know already).

6. Depends on the socializing type
If she gravitates to, and gets along well with kids, she can work on organizing programs or do some kind of work with them, but if she's very social with adults (and prefers adults), that lends itself to lots of stuff, particularly sales, and particularly real-estate - anything where lots of social connections and the ability to schmooze comes in handy. Some have the personality for that, some don't. If you've got it, leverage it.
