Unusual food combos....I have a new one
I had some avocados that needed to be eaten today....So I cut them open and splashed them with some Balsamic Vinegar, a hit of salt and some Pomegranate seeds. It was smooth and creamy, tangy with the little pops of pomegranate exploding in my mouth.

It is now a new favorite.

And it looked like Christmas on my plate....:hide:

1. Sounds yummy
I'm not very adventurous. I need to loosen up, let go, fly ;) Go to the grocery store more often, instead of letting mr. max do the shopping. I'm lazy now but, at while back I had no choice but to let him shop.

My husband is not a fan of carbs so we live on chicken, fish, beef, pork roast and salad and certain green veggies. Boooooring!

Snacks! Deserts! he's never heard of them. That's why I love C&B if I can't eat it, I can at least drool on my keyboard. ;)

This one isn't mine....it's from some construction worker friends from Costa Rica:
Fresh avocado slices and tuna with a hit of sea salt wrapped in soft corn tortillas. Eaten outside. :)

And this is one of my favorite things ever...and truly weird - It's a hold over from my poor grad school days so it involves canned food and a microwave :hide: but I love them, so I still eat them. :)

Pea-ritos:
Green peas (drained)
Black-eyed peas (drained)
Pepper Jack cheese
Cajun Seasoning
Flour tortillas

I mix the peas together and keep in a covered container. When I want a snack, I grab two small flour tortillas - hit them with a little Cajun seasoning, and then place a good tablespoon or so of the pea mixture and 1/3 of a slice of pepper jack on each. Then microwave for 1 minute and roll and eat. It's amazing...sweet from the green peas, spicy and creamy from the cheese, and "meaty" from the black eyed peas...

I'd like to stop microwaving - :) - but somtimes I break down...For these and also for "baked" sweet potatoes.

4. I just cut them open and squeeze a little fresh lemon juice over the halves,
and I ALWAYS eat the entire avocado in one sitting. Balsamic would be nice to try.......
