The desert that made Julia cry
This is a PBS site that features chef Nancy Silverton, alone and in concert with Julia Child. The rusic bread and foccacia segments were what drew me to this site, and all 10 videos have their rewards, but it's the Creme fraiche custard brioche tart that reduces the redoubtable Mrs. Child to tears. I will probably never make this one, but I'm hoping one of you will for the vicarious pleasure of us less ambitious and/or gifted cooks...

1. Awwww.... that was sweet
(no pun intended!)

I enjoyed watching Julia's videos with Nancy Silverton. Both are so awesome, but also real people. Nancy is so confident and not at all intimidated by Julia Child. I learned something - that both make their own creme fraiche by adding buttermilk to cream. I loved watching Nancy make the brioche dough and seeing how manageable the dough is for her - it's always a mess when I make it!

Thanks for posting, quite enjoyable.
