I already want to go back
I was in Austin, TX, visiting my sister this past week. We had lots of good food at many places, but Mr. AAL and I both agree this was the best place:

The Salt Lick

It's found outside Austin in a blink-your-eye town called Driftwood.

The open pit was packed full of brisket, sausage and ribs. The smell was heavenly and oh my, was it good!

We all really enjoyed the entire experience!

2. What I had was pretty reasonable
but I live in Central IN where a meal at Applebees is $10.

My combination plate was only $11.85 - and I was stuffed! Happy, but stuffed. ;)

3. I wanna go there.
I can't tell you how badly I want to go there. I am one red meat loving woman and there is nothing I love more than BBQ. The Salt Lick seems like my idea of heaven.
