I finally gave in...Just picked up the AB in 5 book...
And I am soon purchasing a KitchenAid mixer. I will conquer my fear of baking.

I also picked up a cool book, Molecular Gastronomy: Exploring the Science of Flavor. It's by Herve This, a chemist from France.

1. Woot!
Hope you don't have an addictive personality.

2. So far
my KA has sat unused since we all started making this no knead bread. If you're thinking you need one for that reason, and no other, I wouldn't waste the money. It has it's uses but this isn't one of them.

Glad you got the book. Lots of great recipes, no? :hi:

3. No I have plenty of reasons to get one
I just happen to have the $$ right now to get one, so I figure I should.

4. Check here for corrections for the Ain5:

The two biggies are that the yeast amount is different, and you'll need a longer rise time than 40 minutes (I'm going about 1.5 hours on mine).

Enjoy!
