I have to share ~
I went to a party last weekend, and the woman who hosted it presented us with a hunk of brie. The top layer of mold/rind was cut off and it was smothered in honey and pecans (or whatever nuts you prefer), then cooked until just before the hunk of brie fell apart, served with hunks of french bread.

It was delicious! Easy and yum!

Then there's Dad's girlfriend who is on another kick.
Hunk of cream cheese, smothered with salsa and buried in grated cheddar, then nuked; serve with chips or anything. Very easy, and good!

1. Another easy bread and cheese
Take a hunk of swiss or cheddar and cover it with the refrigerated bread dough from the dough boy. (You of course could use home made but I'm lazy) Make sure the cheese is sealed in or it will ooooze out. Bake per bread directions. Bread and melty cheese is wonderful!

2. I've served room temp cream cheeze with appricot jam over it.
The complimentary flavors of savory and sweet go well together, like cheddar and apples.

3. Do you know what Pickapeppa is? That was a heavy fave in
my home growing up; it's similar to a (spicy) steak sauce poured over cream cheese; not bad, and super easy.

4. Cream Cheese .... Ummmmm!
How could ANYTHING made with cream cheese not be to-die-for wonderful????

My family used to mix cream cheese, a little mayonaise & lemon juice, sliced green onions and some pastrami or pepper beef, then fill a hollowed-out round bread loaf and bake for an hour, serve with veggies and cut up pices of bread. Oh my, was it a hit! Fabulous dip for parties and gatherings.

Cream cheese is tops in my book!

5. I love, love, love brie! OMG!
That sounds so wonderful! I always put pats of cold butter on top and heat it up and have it with good bread, apples, pears, and/or muskmelon. DH and I will split a small wedge as a lunch treat on rare occasions.

The best I ever had was a huge wheel baked topped with apples and nuts, then baked in a flaky pastry dough. This was at a wedding reception. It was fabulous and I don't even want to know what it cost!

As far as the cream cheese thing goes, try it softened to room temp topped with sweet jalapeño jelly. My MIL treated me to that and I never did the salsa recipe again. LOL I haven't had it in a long, long time but I have very fond memories of a wonderful taste. Sigh.
